CHAPTER 4

Alpha Caleb Pov.

I glanced at the elders as they fixed their eyes on me. I know they're waiting for an answer or apology which I knew would never come out of my mouth. A man of caliber wouldn't downgrade himself to please his people.

I glanced at the young girl as she knelt helplessly on the floor. She was the cause of everything that was going on. Had it meant I didn't sleep with her I wouldn't have been in this mess. Most importantly I would love to see my woman and talk sense to her, but no I won't apologize to her.

"Take her out!!".I scowled, my voice low and menacing. The guard hurriedly yanked the slave girl on her chains and dragged her out of the Court House. I slammed my hand on the table right in front of me, as I felt a shimmering rage building within me. I stood to my feet to walk towards the door when a voice halted me.

"We are done alpha". One of there's elders reminded me, but I wasn't interested in the meeting anyway.

"And?" I scowled at him as I threw him an exasperated look.

"We have to discuss many things alpha".He replied as he stood to her feet and took a step towards me.

"It has been dismissed". I answered him, without waiting to hear his response, I walked towards the door, a guard quickly held the door knob open and I stepped out of the courthouse.

I headed towards Luna's chamber to make things right with her, I knew she must be angry about the whole incident.

I reached her door and shoved it open but nobody was in the room. The lights illuminated the room making it shine brighter.

"Amara".I called hoping to hear her voice but there was no response. I opened the bathroom door but she wasn't there.

I felt a shimmering rage building within me as I headed towards the door, but the door slammed open and Amara walked in.

My anger intensified as Amara walked into the room."Where have you been!!" I growled at her as I grabbed her hand, looking directly into her eyes. I couldn't see any fear in her eyes. She wasn't moved by my growling either. Her eyes were red and puffy, she must have cried a lot.

I slipped my hands off of hers, and she walked to the bed.

"Will you stop these ill manners of yours".I asked her which I already knew the answer to, but I pretended like I didn't.

"Caleb you've done enough!!!!" She shouted as she stood to her feet, her voice echoing through the room, locking her eyes on mine she continued.

"I never wanted this from you, I never wanted you to disgrace me!" She said her voice was breaking.

"I don't understand what you're talking about, Amara ''.I said to her my voice barely above a whisper, which I also knew the answer to.

I felt my anger disappearing.

"Stop pretending you fucking asshole". She blurted out as her voice continued to break down.

"It is not what you think Amara, this character of yours isn't fit for a Luna".

I said to her my apologies.

"But you chose to disgrace me, Caleb!" She said in a deep rumbling voice, pacing up and down in the room with her hands crossed on her chest.

"Listen to me Mara, I never intended to do so!".I tried to explain as I outstretched my hand to hold hers but she took a step backwards and paused.

"Caleb!"She called as a stern look appeared on her face. This was the first time she called me by my name, probably because she was angry.

"Promise me you will stop this".She said with a concerned look on her face, it was obvious she was trying to hold back her tears.

"It wasn't intentional Mara".I explained as I held her hands firmly, but wasn't ready to promise her anything. She is in no position to tell whom and when to sleep with.

"This isn't good for your mental health".I said, her face remained unfazed.

"Stop it!!!".She screamed, this time her tears were flowing freely down her cheeks.

I felt a sense of anger building within me, and I gripped her hands more tightly.

"You won't tell me whom to sleep with!!!".I shouted at her while her hands trembled in fear.``I'm the alpha and I will do whatever I like, you won't tell me what to do ". I felt a wave of anger in me deteriorating, I let go of her hands which I knew must have caused pain to her.

She fell to the floor and held her legs closely to her chest, wheezing and gasping for air.

"I'm so……..". She said apologetically but I cut in.

"I won't tolerate it next time".I retorted and walked towards the door. I could hear the sounds of objects falling to the floor, I knew she must've shoved everything down to the floor and turned the room upside down.

But I didn't turn back, I strode arrogantly towards the door, slammed it open, and left the sight. I knew she would come back to me, she was my mate and had no other choice than to do so. She belongs to me and her utmost priority is to be by my side.

A wave of anger began to wash over me as I headed to the slave's quarters. I was only going to make the slave pay for what she had done, even when I truly knew I lured her into sex because I couldn't restrict my urge.

Getting to the slave quarters, I saw slaves bowing their heads low as I walked past them.

"Where is the new slave".I asked one of the slaves whose head was bowed low. I washed her shiver in fear as fear was the only language slaves understood and nothing else.

"Sorry to disappoint you alpha, she hasn't returned to the quarters".The slave replied, her voice breaking.

A deep frown emerged on my face as she let those words out of her mouth. I ignored her and headed back to my chamber when a voice suddenly called "Alpha?".
