Pierre's POV
30 days. I only have 30 days to fix this mess.
I could still hear Alpha Stephan's voice from the council meeting yesterday. Him advising me that I only have 30 days to get rid of the Scarlet Union was like finding a needle in a haystack. It was insane!
As a result, I found myself heading towards the headquarters of the Scarlet Union. From a distance, I could see some members of the security force approaching my blue Chevy Camaro. I began to act as normal as I could.
After the car inspection, the guards had allowed me to go through.
As I finished parking my ride, I headed towards the reception area to ask about where exactly Shey's office was. As I walked casually towards the concierge, I was welcomed by a familiar face.
Shey'sPOV"Oh come on! What was it this time?"I gave a lopsided grin trying to show my distaste as I looked at Janice who was visibly amused with what was unfolding right into our eyes. When we went to work this morning, wewere welcomedwith a pile of different bouquets of flowers lining up the hallway through my office. My eyeballs rolled as I crossed my arms facing the garden-like set-up. From roses to tulips, every type of flowers youcould possiblythought of was here. The parade of blooms made the hallwaythat of a flower shop. All I need was a cash register and I am all set ready and open for business."Your man had done it again," J
Pierre's POVHow often did you meet a grown man with good looks and stable career asking for a love advice nowadays? Perhaps the rarity. As much as I hate to admit, I recently joined this circle.Like I always do, I am now spending my fourth Sunday of the month at Jaxon's home. In 30 days, this was considered my only time off as I often had no engagements or business-related functions during this time. Being the head of the Legion for a while now, I got a hang of my schedule and remembered every important event by heart. Contrary on how the usual set up was, I didn't rely on my secretary to fix my time-table. I value time more than anything so I make it a point to always be in the know on how my day would be.Since my father died and my brother moved to the countryside due to some health-related concerns, Jaxon and Lysa became what was close to being a family. Given the circumstances I am in right now involving my
Shey'sPOVJust regular day in the office it seemed until I heard a knock on my door. I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to think anyone whocould possiblybe my visitor during this very hour. It was only a quarterpast8 in the morning. My thoughtswere interruptedwhen I heard Janice's voice asking permission to talk. I wondered intently what was it about that she could not discuss over the phone. It was very unlikely for her to come to my office to "talk". She didn't like standing up from her desk unless for something really urgent. Like a curious cat, I asked her to come in.She had a dazed look on her face when she entered enough for me to worry beyond
Shey's POV"Tick-tock,tick-tock,tick-tock.."The sound of the antique wall clock reverberated from one corner of my office to the other. An hour before our scheduled date, I am still swamped with back to back meetings and tons of papers I needed to sign. I already knew going out of the office at two in the afternoon today was not a good idea. And yet, I intentionally set it up at this very hour. This would pose as a great alibi for my scheme. As expected, Pierre stuck to his words. He left Janice alone and never bothered calling again after I mislead him with a promise of a date. Problem solved. After today, I am pretty sure he would despise me. I had learned in life that should your fir
Shey'sPOV"Don't tell me youhad waitedhere since two o'clock. Are you stupid?"Iwas answeredwith a faint smile. I looked at Pierre's current state. He was clenching his arms in his chest, his first defense on the piercing coldness of the night. He was wearing casual white polo shirt and a pair of jeans. Since he had arrived earlier in the afternoon, he wasn't wearing any sweater. As a result, his whole body was shivering and almost numb."You-you promised me you'll come so I need to stick to my words and wait for you."Guilt overcame my senses. Never did I imagine he would wait this long. While I'm at home soaking my body into a relaxing bubble bath, here he was sitting at
Shey'sPOV Shit, what was I thinking? Icouldn't care lesson what this man was dreaming about. If not out of compassion, I wouldn't bring him to my house to nurse. It's just so happen that I didn't know anyone of his friends or relatives. My conscience would kill me if I had left him unattended in the cold ground. That's it, nothing more. "Yeah, right." My wolf Kaya emerged from my mind once more. She was beaming from ear to ear like a kid who just had his favorite treat. I wanted so bad to wipe her grin off her face. This made her laugh even more since she was able to read my thoughts. Oops, I completely forgot about that part. She was my wolf and basically living at the back of my head. Stupid me. "You do
Pierre's POVMy eyes twitched as the warm sunlight hit them. I raised my right arm for cover and slowly opened my eyelids under its shade. I was greeted with an unfamiliar surroundings which made me got up from where I was lying hurriedly. As a result, I felt a sting of pain on my head which made me uttered a soft moan."Woah! Take it easy, lad. You just got out from having a fever" I heard someone spoke. That was when I noticed a middle-aged man sitting at the couch beside me. He was holding a newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee."Where am I?" Obviously, these were the first set words I would say. I strolled my eyes to the unknown environment, trying my hardest to remember how I got here in the first place.I was lying in a grey-colored sofa in crisp, white living room. The glass and the metallic features sharpens the white pieces revealing an elegant, pristine and timeless features in it. The only source of colorful
Shey'sPOV"It's niceto beback in business, baby!"Janice was a picture of excitement and glee. She carefully opened the bag of food she ordered for lunch while I am staring at her in awe. Seconds later, a bowl of lasagna soup paired with her favorite bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich were sitting on top of her table. With a huge grin on her face, she took her first bite and admired the food like a 5 year-old child.I shook my head while observing her strange behavior. For me to see Janice loosen up a little was not something I got to seeon a regular basis. As much as I wanted to celebrate with her, my conscience was not letting me.She was happy b
Shey’s POV The endless darkness was over. My eyelids flickered to the glimmer of light that awakened my senses. Slowly, I opened my eyes. I was welcomed with an unfamiliar sight. The interior of the room was very far from what I remembered my room was like. I scanned the place in hopes of finding a hint of familiarity to the place. But I failed. The woods incorporated into the walls gave a sensible warmth to the place. The design of the room focussed on smaller intimate patterns while introducing rich, sensuous textures because of the neutrality of its colors. Adding to the layer of soft elements, it gave me a welcoming feel. I didn’t feel any sign of threats though the surrounding was a complete stranger to me.
Perre's POVUs werewolves were complex beings when it came to the matters of our hearts. Never would you encounter another creature as passionate and loyal as our kind. The goddess of the moon already wrote our love stories before we're even born. Our soulmates are predestined by the goddess herself. The concept of being mated was sacred to every single werewolf in this world. And yet this good-for-nothing son of a bitch destroyed the reputation of our kind. Not only did he abandon his mate, he literally caused her doom. To be deceived was one thing but to be betrayed by the very person you loved and cherished was far greater. It would leave a lasting wound that's probably never gonna heal. The pain must be tenfold."Who is he?" I asked while trying to control the urge to release my rage. I felt that
Pierre's POV"Alpha Pierre.."A mild tap on the shoulder woke me up. When I opened my eyes,Jaxon'sface was the first thing I saw. I scanned the place and realized I was already in bed and covered with bandages. I wasn't sure how I got to my room. The last thing I remembered was me lying on the couch. Shane and the rest might have carried me here.I tried to lift my body from bed but when I do, unpleasant bodily sensation struck me. It was like hitting the button to activate pain all over my body. Discomfort overpowered me so I decided to keep laying down."Easy, Alpha."Jaxonimmediately tended to my needs. I gestured my hand signalling him that I was fine. When he thought I was already settled, he uttered "If you want, I'll ask Mr. Col
Pierre's POV I didn't know where I went wrong. All I wanted was to haveSheyexperience the beauty ofCrustwickMountain. Rather, a furious wolf I used to call mate a while ago attacked me. "Shey.." All I could do was to call her name hoping that the sound of it would remind her of whom she was. I looked into her eyes desperately searching for the woman I once knew. But instead, Iwas facedby a monster I never knew existed inside her. "Shey.. It's me. This is Pierre. I am your mate." As if mylastmessage even
Pierre's POV"Are you sure you want to do this, alpha?"Like a parent anxious for his child's first camping trip in the woods,Jaxonwas fussing over about this since last night. He kept on telling me that this decision was stupid especially after knowing about what had happened last time.Me,Jaxon,Lysaand Shane were outside the pack house. They were helping meloadsome stuff at the back of the car. Shane was inspecting the vehicle making sure it would not give me any problem later. Though my Delta was not saying a word, it wasevidentthat he was echoing the same statement as
