Carter's POV.

Four moons have passed by with me watching my mate being given the same treatment over and over again.

She was strong to withstand all this. Had it been she was human, then I doubt she would have made it through the first day.

Thank goodness that her wolf was responsive and healing her real quick, if not then don't know if she would have survived it. I was seated on the floor, my back pressed against the wall and my legs stretched forward on the cold floor.

Aurora was just right next to me. I had made her rest her head on my thighs, since sitting up right was a complete problem to her.

She couldn't lean against the wall nor could she sit like every other person in the room, so I had to tell her to rest her head on my thighs which she obediently did.

My eyes kept going constantly on her back.

I looked at the scars, both old and fresh on her back with hurt in my eyes.

She was just an innocent girl who was being tortured for no reason at all.
