I have not sensed anything unusual in the pack since I came. Although everything seemed to be organized, I knew it was just a camouflage. If I deduct based on what Asher told me about the pack, he said they were suffering from the breakout of an illness but I didn't see anything close to that.

Could it be some sort of trap? For me to come here?

I shook my head, dismissing the thought. Raymond does not even know that I still exist. In fact, he must have forgotten me. If his Beta, Zonal, could still recognize me. Then I must avoid meeting him at all costs.

“Mommy! Where are we?” Dylan asked me.

I looked down at him where he stood, holding my hand. His eyes reminded me fully of Raymond’s greyish eyes. I smiled, looking forward. “At your…” I trailed off, catching myself before I let my thoughts out.
