ERICA

Two maids came to me they bow to me, they brought me a dress, an expensive gown,it’s not a ball, it’s a long straight gown. I took my bath and dress up, I walk to the mirror looking like those filthy rich kid.

I smile at myself in the outfit I am wearing, I went to sit at the vanity and another maid came in with a woman who helped me with my make up.

The maids led me to my parents in the Banquet room, there were other royals in the Banquet ,they were all seated round the table,my sister adopted sister Erica also came, she was wearing a one arm straight gown.

We both stood and bow to my parents, Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses and Nobles were at the table.

There were empty chairs one beside mom and another beside my dad.

My dad ask me to come sit with him and my mom ask Erica to come sit with her.

ERICA.

Staring at Emilia got me so angry, she seems to have come to steal all the dedicated love my parents had shown me all over the years. Just in hours that she was found she has become the favourite of my parents. I look to my dad and e was talking to Emilia even my mom focus was all on Emilia. I look to all the princes on the table they all have their eyes on Emilia.

I couldn’t eat when the maid came to serve us, all the princes seems to be interested in her, none of them looked at me that way since they have been coming into this Palace.

I manage to eat a bit and I was expecting mom to ask me as usual as she use to ask if I had eaten but she didn’t instead she was telling Emilia wo was eating to eat well.

After everyone was done eating, dad stood up and introduce Emilia to everyone.

“ I am very pleased and happy to have you all honour my invitation to introduced to you all that we have found our lost future Empress of our Kingdom Emilia,I know all Kings and Queens seated here remembered when we lost her eighteen years ago and now we have found her and because it calls for celebration that is why I have invited you all here to celebrate with me. Cheers! Dad said raising his glass.

All the guest raise their glass and cheer. I only manage to raise my glass up, tears began to build up in my eyes, I quickly pour my drink down my throat,I poured myself about three glasses and drop the glass, I look into my parents eyes, it seems they already abandoned me for Emilia, they were to focus on her.

She can’t even see me drinking this much not just them but all the princes, they all are drooling over her. I got up and walk into my room,I slam the door of my room in anger and went to sit in front of my Vanity.

The words of my dad came flushing into my memory “ Future Empress” I fold my hand into a fist, my anger boils inside of me, I pant so hard and hit my Vanity hard.

“ NO! No!! I cried out,she won’t take my place, I have been here since I was three, all of the respect, privileges and publicity would go to Emilia just like that? No!That won’t happen,the throne is mine I would not be ridiculed in the midst of other Royals,I will not let Emilia remain here in this palace because I will not be reduce to a second class royal.

I have to do something, Emilia has to leave the palace, I must rule ,I don’t care if it will take the life of anyone! I said to myself and dry my tears.

EMILIA.

I feel loved by my parents and everyone around me but the mystery surrounding me not being able to remember anything baffles me, I want to know what happened to me in the past and not just that, mom said some people were chasing after me and from the bruises on my body, I can tell someone is after my life.

Te party came to an end, it was nice meeting everyone I met including the princes and princesses, I made friends and it was really fun. I was going to return to my room and that was when I remembered Erica isn’t here. I walk to my mom and ask about Erica and that was when our parents realized she wasn’t here.

I was too tired to even meet with her that night, I needed some sleep, I went to bed.

After few hours of sleeping, I woke up from a nightmare panting hard.

I see a familiar face chasing after me, I can’t really tell where I knew her, she chased after me then she shifted into a wolf, she had dark flame following her as she chases me. I woke up in the middle of the chase panting hard.

I sit up in my bed trying to figure out the woman chasing me. I know I have seen her before now but I can’t remember who she is.

I flip aside my duvet and get out of the bed, I walk to the window, stare out into the dark with my head spinning in thought about who I was.

“ Why can’t I remember the past? I whisper to myself? I shut my eyes and I saw something scary, I saw someone push me down the top of the palace. I quickly open my eyes in fear,I move back in fear shivering I rush back into my bed. I lay down and curve myself into ball, I pull the duvet over myself and try not to close my eyes but slowly I drifted into sleep.

I opwn my eyes when someone kissed me on my forehead, it was my mom, she smile at me, Erica was with her.

“ Good morning honey” She greeted me.

“ Good morning mom” I greeted.

“ Good morning Erica” I greeted.

“Good morning Sis” she replied but not with a smile.

“ I need to prepare for the day like the real Alpha of the Seven kingdom” Erica says. My mom looks back to her. She smile and look back at me.

“That’s what I have been doing all my life, I can’t stop just because I am not going to be an Alpha to the pack, who knows, my mate could be an Alpha of a pack, I should support him” Erica says,
