CHAPTER 23 (TOO YOUNG TO RULE)

XAVIER'S POV

I had always nursed this deep-rooted fear of my uncle ever since I was a kid. I had watched him rip out the beating hearts of eight men at once without breaking a sweat and all these he did in his human form and for this reason, I knew he was not someone to mess with.

Even in his human form, one could see his Lycan features. His beautiful frame could not mask the terrible strength he carried within him and the danger in his eyes –eyes which were looking straight into my soul at the moment without flinching.

My blood ran cold within me and it took me a moment to get myself together to be able to answer his question.

"I am going out," I answered with a small smile that didn't reach my eyes.

"That I can see but what I want to know is where exactly you're going?" My uncle asked before putting a bloody piece of meat in his mouth.
