Chapter Twenty

My head throbbed as I woke up in a dimly lit room, my head heavy and my wrists tied. The air was damp, and the scent of stone filled my nose, but I was unable to trace where i was.

How did I get here? What happened? These were the questions i i asked myself as i tried undoing the tight binds but they refused to budge. 

A gasp left my lips as I remembered how I got here, my dress reminded me of the party and the glass of champagne that that servant boy served. I was drugged! But why? What could someone possibly gain from punishing me this way?

My thoughts were interrupted as a door opened wide and the sight before me caused my blood to freeze.

Liam sauntered into the moldy place with a smirk on his lips. “I am not going to lie doll, when you sent fo me to meet you here, i had no idea this was the state i was going to meet you. I am not complaining, i like women who tie themselves up for me.”

I glared at him, my body tensing with fury and unease. “I didn’t send for you,” I spat. “You did this, didn’t you?”

Liam let out a low chuckle, stepping closer. “Now, now. Accusations already? I was merely invited, the guard was very clear when he said you were waiting for me down here..” He crouched down, tilting his head. “Though I must admit, seeing you like this is quite the treat.”

I clenched my fists, fighting against the restraints as he reached out and trailed a finger along my jawline. My stomach churned with disgust. I needed to act fast.

“I didnt send for you, Liam. i would never.” i spat. “Something is going on here.”

Anger flashed in Liam’s face as his smile faltered. ““Is that so?” His fingers gripped my chin tightly, forcing me to look at him. “Then explain the letter. You confessing your love and surrendering your whole life to me and how you were so blind before to see you want me?”

My brows furrowed in confusion. What was Liam talking about? I hated him, why on earth would I write him a letter?

“And your panties, I loved them. They made me look forward to seeing you here and i cant wait to finally have a taste of you.” His hand grazed my arm and i shivered in disgust.

“Stop it liam! I don't know who gave you those things but it could never be me. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I kept my voice steady despite the dread curling in my stomach.

Liam’s eyes darkened. “Liar.” His grip tightened for a brief second before he let go, exhaling sharply. “No matter. If you’re playing coy, I can remind you exactly why you once belonged to me.”

Panic shot through me. I couldn’t let him get any closer.

He gripped my hair harshly, bringing my gaze up to meet his. “I am so sick of the teasing, Celine. I’m taking whats mine whether you want it or not.” he gritted, his other hand working on his belt.

“No,” I whispered as I struggled with the tightropes on my wrists. Liam wasn't going to stop until he did unspeakable things to me. I couldn't understand why he would think i sent him a letter and my panties but i knew something was going on. It was a set up.

Could it be Anya’s doing? Would she go this far to ruin me?

“I can wait to taste you, Celine. That's all ive ever wished for.” Liam groaned as he pulled his briefs to let out his dick, and a scream left my lips as I urgently undid the ropes on my hand.

His eyes glinted as he grinned at me and stroked himself. “I want to see you next.”

His hand trailed from my chin down to my cleavage, and he slipped his fingers into my dres, fondling my breasts. A cry left my lips as i trashed against him.

Oh moon goddess please help me.

“Yes baby, i know its huge, i bet that asshole king doesn't have half of what-”  i cut his narcissistic rant with a sharp punch to his throat, and a kick to his groin.

Thank goddess for the lectures on self defence Kaiden had been giving me. 

“Fuck! You bitch!” liam cried out as he cradled his crotch while I searched for something to defend myself with.

“You do all these things but they only make me want you more!” he started to get on his feet, but i grabbed a bottle and slammed it on his head, rendering him unconscious.

I let out a sharp sigh, running out of the place as fast as I could as I struggled to understand what just happened. I was set up and almost raped by Liam.

Tears poured from my eyes as i ran down the halls, trying to navigate my way out of the maze of hallways. My heart pounded violently against my chest, and I could still feel Liam’s disgusting touch lingering on my skin.

I needed to find Kaiden. He had to know what happened. He had to believe me.

Just as I turned a corner, my breath caught in my throat. Standing in the middle of the hall, dressed in her elegant coming-of-age gown, was Anya.

Her lips curled into a slow, knowing smile, and my stomach twisted.

“Running somewhere, Celine?” she mused, taking a step forward. Her eyes gleamed with amusement, and I knew instantly, she had orchestrated all of this.
