Damon

Neil and i snuck into the castle, weaving through the corners and careful not to allow anyone see us as I was supposed to be dead and he was wanted in the kingdom.

We reached the guard’s quarters, where the new head guard, Rowan, was stationed. He was standing near the entrance, scanning the hallways. His hand moved to his sword when he noticed us approaching, but his eyes widened in shock when he recognized me.

“Beta Damon?” His voice was barely above a whisper. “You’re—”

“Alive,” I cut in. “No time for explanations. You need to act fast.”

Rowan hesitated, “I don't understand.... How are you alive?”

“Sheila,” I said, stepping forward. “She’s the traitor. She’s the one who orchestrated everything and killed the king’s mate and child.”

Rowan’s brows furrowed. “What?”

I gripped his hand tight, pinning him with a stern stare. “You have to do as iIsay, Rowan. Take all your men and make sure she doesn't leave your sight.”

Neil andIi stormed away to the direction of Kiaden’s room.

Chapter 93KaidenI did not want to be correct. Damon could not have died without cause. My researches were all pointing to one thing: what Damon said the day before Sheila declared him missing. “Sheila is not who you think she is.”I have never really had feelings for Sheila. I took her in as my wife so I could stop rumours and hurt Celine, and I felt all she wanted was power, but after Celine’s disappearance, she has been helpful with her witch, and after Celine’s death, she had been nice and caring. I could not imagine what I would have been if she hadn't been here helping me during the period of my grief. But could Sheila be working against me? I did not want to believe it.There was no evidence of her evil acts if there was ever any. We needed more servants, although the number was questionable, but there was an act so threaterous to make Sheila evil. I only had the drained children lead, but no guard has seen any strange evidence that she was responsible for that. Was I missing

SheilaKaiden walked into the room, his eyes sharp as he took in my presence. I could hear Damon and Neil screaming and trying to touch him, and i ignored them. As funny as it is to wtach them try their best to leave my web, i could not let it happen. Mirena giving me that powder to make them invinsible was genius, and it came at the right tme because i could see Kaiden was beginning to suspect me.I could kill Kaiden, but iIwas too attached to the dream of him falling for me. When I had iIrulled all three major kingdoms, i would maIe him my man, whether he liked it or not. Tonight, the ritual had to go as planned. I am sick of taking blood.“A guard was just bleeding downstairs.” he said, and i stiffened. He was not supposed to see that. Did the guard say anything? Markus was supposed to finish him off. That bastard felt he could arrest me, but I made Markus put him down before he could tell Kaiden anything. I should have been more careful. Did he say anything?“What happened? Is he

KaidenIt disgusted me how easily she played the role of my devoted wife, how she stroked my hair and whispered reassurances as if she weren’t the very monster I needed to destroy. I had been blind for too long, but now I saw clearly. I have been a fool for so long.I stormed out of the room, my hands clenched into fists, but I forced myself to stay calm while considering mindlinking with one of my trusted guards but I thought against it as I remembered she had infiltrated my kingdom. And judging from the lack of Damon’s presence anywhere and her shaky demeanor, I knew something was wrong. Someone told her I spoke to Rowan. The same person who tried to silence him. I stormed into the soldier floor where they all stayed, and they froze immediately as my cold eyes landed on them.“Your majesty.” They chorused, bowing as if it were once rehearsed. I had to be cautious. If Damon was alive, and the dead one in that pack was a fake, then magic must have been in play.Damon did warn me agai

Sheila“Look, boys,” I called out. “Look who's getting away with it,” I smirked as I walked to the back of the abandoned stables to see Mirena communicating with the forces to begin my ritual. The candles dwindled as the wind whirled directly opposite, and I smirked as I walked to the slab where Damon stood pinned, his whole body tense as he watched the sky. I guess he had given up so easily. Neil, on the other hand, was pinned to the wall. He was my first test subject when this worked out.As for the children and Teens whom I needed to take blood from, they were lined up in the other room. I had to bathe in the blood we collected from that pack, and when it worked, I had to drink from their necks instead for the ritual to work. Why settle for just a queen when I can become a monster that is feared by everything and everyone?Mirena paused her whispering and picked up an ancient-looking knife. She met my gaze. “Are you ready, my lady?”I undid my robe, letting it fall and pool by my

KaidenA loud growl echoed from my jaws as I flung Sheila into a wall, and she let out a cry. My soldiers stormed outside, most likely figuring that they could talk without being cursed to die. Damon instructed them to head into the stables and retrieve the innocent children Sheila had locked up. They were all traitors, and they all deserved to die. But I would get to them later.I shifted back to human form, and a maid hurriedly gave me a cloth to wrap around my waist, but I couldn't care less about that.“You bloody monster,” I growled as I stormed towards Sheila, who was trying to crawl away. I grabbed Sheila by the hair, yanking her up with ease. She let out a strangled cry, her fingers clawing at my wrist. Blood dripped from her temple where she hit the wall, adding to the stain of innocent children’s blood she soaked in out of greed.“How dare you?” I growled into her face, my body vibrating with anger. I couldn't even process it. The loss, the deaths, the deceit. It was all t

KaidenDamon and Neil walked in an hour afterIi I left the cell, and I felt satisfaction knowing they had punished Sheila for the day. I already ordered the arrest of her entire family, but before I could, they ran away. I would make sure to hunt them down. They all had to pay. Damon and Neil’s wounds were all covered up, and they were changed into better clothes, the blood and grime washed out of them. I could not imagine the pain that skank put them through. I could not believe it. She had no idea she did this to them. But now that I saw Neil, cleaned up and fed, I felt the anger I kept buried in me rise. The fact remains that he helped Celine escape. “Neil.”Damon leaned against the wall, his arms crossed, watching me with an amused expression. “I know that look,” he said, his voice dry. “You’re about to lose your damn mind.”Neil, standing beside him, tensed but didn’t back down. He met my gaze head-on, his jaw clenched.I took a slow step toward him. “You helped her escape,” I

Kaiden“Kaiden wait… Forget i said that…” Damon ran after Neil and i. “I checked with the men, there was no way else Celine could have survived. The men saw her and were very sure they heard her scream as she fell!”But neither of us listened as we stormed into the room.Neil was the first to move. He grabbed one of the guards by the collar and slammed him against the wall. The man choked, his eyes widening in terror at both the soght of us three, two which were pronounced both missing and dead.“You were there the night she disappeared,” Neil growled. “Tell me exactly what happened at the cliff.”The room tensed. • THE ALPHA KING’S SPECIAL LUNA   Chapter 130

Kaiden Shortly after Lina had left my room, a guard had come to my room and told me that Orion had requested a meeting. I had wanted to be left alone to sort out my feelings and thoughts since I was still angry from everything that had happened at the competition coupled with the fact that Lina had missed all that happened, making me wonder where she had gone. With a tired sigh, I walked out of my room and headed to the cold hall where we usually held meetings. I would have preferred discussing whatever Orion had to say in my room but I knew better than inviting him over. The air was thick with tension as I walked into the hall. Orion was already seated so I chose to sit in the chair opposite his. I had barely sat down when he opened his mouth and started spewing out well planned words. “Thank you for granting me a few minutes out of your precious time,” he said with a big smile plastered on his lips and I couldn’t tell if he was being sarcastic or not. I watched him carefully,

Celine“You’re not so good at lying,” Sybil said as she moved even closer to me, her voice slicing through the thick silence. I knew she didn’t believe me but I thought she was going to back off and try to keep watching me from the shadows and I realized that I had thought wrong. I was scared but at the same time I was tired of dealing with bitches like Sybil who had something against you just because the men she was fawning over paid her no attention. What I hated more than betrayal or lying was male centered bitches who had no other life than to bring others down. I was determined to teach her a lesson and put her in her place. I was tired of acting all weak and letting one person that was way beneath act like she was doing me a favor or had the keys to my life. Just as I was thinking of what to do to her, she moved closer to me and instinctively I stepped back. I kept moving away from her until the back of my knee was against my bed and I fell when she tilted towards me. I was

CelineAfter the awkward silence between me and Kaiden, I excused myself and left the room. As I walked out and closed the door behind me, he didn’t say anything. I let out a breath I didn’t know I was finding as I walked back to my room. The look of betrayal Kaiden’s face was etched in my mind and no matter how hard I tried to push it away, it wasn’t budging. Immediately I walked into my room, I noticed that it was empty and I couldn’t hear the usual chatter of the other maids nor did Tasha jump on me to question me as I walked in. I let out a relieved sigh because I wasn’t quite ready to talk to anyone. I moved to my bed and to my surprise, a beautiful box wrapped in deep gold and ivory ribbon was sitting on the bed, patiently waiting for me. I was confused but I reached for it and slowly opened it. Inside was a stunning masquerade dress as bright as the sunlight—it was radiant, elegant and it was almost queen-like. And beside it was a matching make, it was delicate and pattern

CelineI couldn’t help but feel uneasy, Kaiden has been acting strangely since the minute I bumped into him in the hallway. He spoke less and the way he questioned me or requested something of me was… weird. He tried to hide it but I could see the way his eyes were following my movements as I rearranged the room. When I had walked back into the room and saw the mess, I was confused as to why a room that was perfectly arranged had been scattered just a few minutes after I went to the kitchen and returned. It was suspicious but I couldn’t place my hand on why he was doing any of it. Why shocked me the most was how cold he had addressed me and the way he asked me to leave. I eyed him suspiciously but he walked away from me. Was he testing me? Was he suspicious about something? Had I somehow given myself out?No, I said to myself. It couldn’t be that, the Kaiden I know would have confronted me if he had figured me out so I was back to square one—wondering what it was with him. I push

KaidenI was restless and I couldn’t get my body to calm down so I could go ahead with the next text. My fingers absentmindedly tapped against the table as my legs shook from nervousness. This last test I was going to put her under was the one that would finalize everything. I was already convinced that she was my Celine but this was going to seal it. I was so close to the truth but I was scared, if truly I was right, why was she hiding from me? Did she hate me that much? Or was there another reason?Memories of Celine flooded my mind—I remembered that she was left-handed and she had a certain way she sliced bread and even placed things. It was something I found decanting and used to tease her about nonstop. If Lina was Celine, her hands would give her out. I decided that this was going to be my last test—I was going to observe her muscle memory instead of anything else since I had gotten my confirmations from the previous tests. I watched silently as she brought the dessert to my

KaidenI wrapped my hand around Lina’s—or should I say Celine as I led her down the hallway and back to my room for the meal I proposed we had together. I wasn’t entirely sure if she was truly Celine but my suspicion was growing with each passing minute. No two people could be so similar or even talk the same way plus the scar behind her ear was too similar for it to be just a coincidence. It was the same shape and in exactly the same spot. The familiarity in the way she moved, the way she avoided my eyes whenever she realized I was suspecting her or the way they clouded up like she was avoiding something—hiding a secret tugged at me and I wanted to get to the root of it all. If it was truly Celine, why was she putting up an act? And if my suspicions are wrong, why does everything about her scream at me that she was the one?I was utterly confused and frustrated, I hated not knowing things, I hated not having control but this was a chance for me to finally figure out why she was pr

Celine “Or what Lina?” He asked as he moved closer to me, his voice mirroring the darkness in his eyes. “What would you do to me, hmn?”His voice was dripping with amusement, it was dangerous and I couldn’t help but swallow. I was not only nervous but I knew that the man standing in front of me could ruin my life if he wanted. He stalked closer to me and I kept stepping away from him until my back eventually hit the wall and I realized I had nowhere else to run to. He raised his hand, his smirk still etched on his face as he trapped my head against the with both of his hands. “Cats got your tongue?” He asked, his voice dropping with mockery. “I wonder where your voice has suddenly gone when you were running your mouth just seconds ago saying I better stay away from you.”I remained silent but my resolve didn’t falter. I might be scared of him but I wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of seeing it. “You’re lucky that I actually like you,” he continued, his voice even lower t

CelineAlpha Lucan lazily leaned back into the couch as a slow grin crawled onto his face. His eyes were intense as she stared at me, it looked like he was trying to see through me or even figure out what was running through my mind. “Disrespect?” He repeated, his voice was low and mocking as if the thought of a mere maid saying such to him was something he had never believed would happen. Slowly, his eyes roamed over me from my head down to my toes making my skin crawl from disgust. “You wear a mask—probably ashamed of how you look and yet you're acting like you command the room or like you’re higher than me. Isn’t that intriguing?” He asked as he cocked an eyebrow at me. His words hit me like a punch to the stomach but I didn’t give him the satisfaction of seeing my reaction. I kept my face neutral as I stared at him, waiting to hear him say why he had called for me. After a few moments of silence and him realizing that I wasn’t going to say anything, he raised his hand and wav

Celine That was weird. I thought as I cleaned the floor of the ballroom for the end of competition Celebration. Kaiden must have figured out that I was hiding something because of his confrontation but totally freezing up like that after touching my hair? That was weird. Maybe he figured out you were Celine? Silver the ever ghostly ghost wolf whispered, but I shut her to the back of my mind, not interested in that particular sentence. Kaiden did not figure out my identity, I’ve been extra careful. A big part of me felt it was something else, maybe a mindlink message. A push hit me from behind and I stumbeled forward, almost falling flat on my face in the hall. I whipped backwards to see the culprit and it was none other than the boss, Sybil. “You.” She eyed me in disgust, and I stood upright, surprised at her sudden evidence irritation. “Yes, Boss? Is something wrong?” I asked, keeping my voice civil. “Did I do something wrong?”She gave me a once over, then snorted. “Maybe the
