Demi’s pov

I felt the person's presence by my bedside, humming to herself.

I could feel the line connected to my arm being moved and then she proceeded to check my other vitals.

"Oh, I know you are awake." She whispered sounding so soft yet audible. She released the line from my hand and brought it down, "Rest well dear, you will be back on your feet in no time."

She kept the arm gently and soon I heard retreating steps and the door being closed.

After waiting a while to be sure that she was gone, I opened my eyes and carefully let myself down, my feet touched the soft plush rug creating a soothing feel to the skin and a contented sigh left my lips.

I stood firmly, marking my balance before going over to where Haris lay and my eyes softened when I looked at him.

I couldn't remember him being this peaceful in his sleep, his breathing was normal, his face looked calm and he looked like he had enough to eat these past few days as evidence for my thoughts, I could see his hand with his fi
