CHAPTER 34

YARA’S POV

Alpha Denver surprised me. For the first time, he actually helped me and it was very surprising. Even though he claimed he was helping to get rid of me faster, it still felt very weird because the alpha Denver I had grown used to having around all the time was never going to do that. He was always angry with a deep frown on his face that it even made me wonder how he didn't have wrinkles yet.

Then he went ahead to make me speechless too. I didn't believe it and I wanted to convince myself that I was probably hallucinating but it actually happened and I wasn't the only witness.

We both entered the office where he fixed me first and I could feel everyone's eyes on us. They all bowed to greet him at the same time before they watched in silence as he helped me return my table to its place and I placed the chair beside it then I gave him an awkward smile as a thank you. I thought he was going to leave immediately but he wasn't moving and I wondered what he was up to this time.
