King Geraden was begging for trouble and so he was going to get it.
Right after they disappeared, I continued to change into my lycan form and thereafter howled loudly, informing my people of their king’s anger and sadness. The ones that were inside the throne room: Elijah, William and Farryl transformed into their were form and howled in response, in unison with the rest of the kingdom.
‘Prepare for a bloodbath!’ I mind-linked at all of them, gnashing my teeth and clawing out the marbled floor. ‘The King of Ehnrelil had robbed us of our queen and therefore his kingdom deserved our wrath! Are you with me, my people?!’
A louder howl reverberated all over the kingdom, and possibly, it had crossed borders to other realms, informing the rest of the leaders that Phanteon was in turmoil.
I was itching to run my claws on specifically two wort
<Serena >“Leave Phanteon out of this!” I cried out. “The werewolf people have always lived a peaceful life. Yes, they maybe at times savage and uncontrollable, but they respect territory. Unless provoked, they keep to themselves. They don’t interfere or pry on the matters of the other realms.”“You sure speak exactly like their Luna, Ysanna, and this is unforgivable,” he told me, sneering. He then turned his attention to the panel around us and pointed a hand towards me.“Don’t you see Elders of the High Fae Court? She has done and told enough to show that she is indeed one of them! She could never be our High Priestess. She must be stripped of her powers and be sentenced to death!”That was quick, but I had an ace up my sleeve.“No, I demand you to listen!&rd
< Serena >“Hale, what the hell?! “Your bitch mistress is the one causing problems in Phanteon?!” I grounded and threw him a dirty look just as I stepped out of his reach. It was windy in this area, definitely not a fitting place to stay but I especially chose this location for good reasons:One, I hated going inside his mansion when it was inundated with the smell of blood and two, this was the safest spot I could think of when I decided to transport us both in Viacronis. Now that I have fully regained my powers and I had bonded with Aero, my senses had heightened and god, the smell of blood inside Hale’s lair was nauseating. No wonder werewolves hate vampires. I could have chosen Phanteon, reunite with my husband in this very moment, but with Hale tagging along, it wouldn’t be a wise decision. I didn’t want to anger my husband more.Hale wasn&
An hour earlier...< Aero >‘Prepare for a bloodbath! The King of Ehnrelil had robbed us of our queen and therefore his kingdom deserved our wrath! Are you with me, my people?!’My people didn’t hesitate when they answered me with the strongest, ear-splitting howl Phanteon has ever heard. They felt my anger. They felt my desperation. They felt my will for bloodshed. They wanted their queen back too and so they were very cooperative with me when I called for battle. There was only one way to retrieve our queen and it was through the nearest border of Ehnrelil: the Baltic Meadows. The Alphas in their respective territories and together with their subjects paused whatever it was they were doing and started their way into that very location. From the throne room’s arched window, I leapt and my battle-hungry claw
< Serena >Wrapped in nothing but a bed sheet, I approached my husband who was standing near the balustrade. He seemed to be watching the cloudy sky above us but I knew better. I knew he was communicating with Elijah, probably barking out orders for him and his army.Aero hadn’t told me about the werewolves and lycans waiting near the border of Ehnrelil and he didn’t need to. I could still sense it from him the thrill of bloodshed, of needing retribution and of revenge. I wanted the same too, directed towards Geraden specifically. I wanted us to travel to the Baltic Meadows and start the war, but I also wanted to do something before that.Though I know we didn’t need any help from the other realms, I figured we had to reach out to Lady Yllana and Lord Hale. Their people probably would love to join in the fun, especially when they had their own dead comrades to avenge.Plus, I
< Serena >Aero said to dress up so I did, going straight to my closet and rummaged its contents. Expecting a fight soon, I figured I needed to wear an appropriate clothing. Luckily, I was able to find one in my wardrobe: a three-toned, gray, black and red, leather-like coat-dress that looked nothing formal or fancy. It had a pirate-ty vibe to it with the big buttons and wide waist strap, but it certainly wasn’t meant to be worn by a sword-swinging buccaneer. It was more similar to the suits in Assassin’s Creed, only that it was a female version of it. I paired it with black leggings and wore knee-length boots to finalize my outfit. I may not know if this was what the other she-wolves wear in their human form during a fight, but I was pretty sure this was totally the best ensemble to kick that bitch Sofia’s butt.Rhea, after Aero ordered a servant to summon her, helped me prepare. Sh
< Aero >Chris, who I specifically gave an important mission, waited in the camp set up near the Ehnrelil border. Once Serena and I exited the hidden lake, I mind-linked him, instructing to welcome us in the forest edge bringing along a certain bundle of joy. My third surprise. That said bundle of joy was already leaping when it saw my wife.“Sprint!” she cried out when her long lost pet hopped out of my Omega’s arms and ran towards her.Serena had the brightest smile when it leaped onto her chest. She hugged it tight and petted the top of its head all the while awarding me a grateful look.I showed her a pleased smile whilst hiding my guilt when I remembered how I tossed the damn creature from the footbridge when I was in Ehnrelil and got it trapped in some random realm using my teleportation ability. If I knew then that
< Serena >Stories of an Elemental Witch’s prowess had reached my years while I was still training to become a priestess. I had never seen one up close nor had I actually witnessed their powers. Good thing, today, I was going to finally see it and even experience it first-hand.There was no limit to what Lady Yllana could see when her hands touch an object both living, dead or otherwise. Knowing this, I had Lord Hale bring an object that belonged to my beast friend Sofia and he produced a brassiere, no surprise in that, but still I tossed him an incredulous look.“Really, of all the things you could have brought, you chose this?” I complained whilst holding the garment up high for Aero and Lady Yllana, my father and Elijah to see.Lord Hale just gave me a shrug. “Aside from her underwear, Your Highness, she keeps on leaving that in my room, so I chose wh
< Serena >"You're biting off more than you can chew, Nevannir," I hurriedly said. "I've always thought of you as an intelligent man. I never expected you to be delusional too.""I'm a visionary, Priestess Serena, and my visions see you by my side as my queen," he finalized."Return me to my body, now," I ordered, my ears done with hearing his delusions. He tsk'd and shook his head slowly, "I'm afraid I can't."His eyes became hooded, finally showing the darkness in his soul. Instant chills crept up my nape. I expected him to be righteous, but it seemed his definition of righteousness differed from the normal. Fuck."You will have to stay here until King Aero butchers Geraden, Queen Adna and the rest of the High Elders," he went on. "He'll do the dirty work for me."I hauled in a deep, co
EpilogueSerena“Ryland! Raziel! Rule! Be ready!” Aero roared as he paced in front of them, acting as game master in this friendly competition of brothers. He was dressed in nothing but trousers while the triplets, as usual, copied their father, acting as if their pre-pubescent muscles could contend to Aero’s bulging ones. The three were lined up within the yellow line, ready and waiting for the red flag to be released.I sat on the stone bench outside the mini arena of Alchidna just observing them. On my lap was Scarlett, trying to shake her baby maracas to the best of her ability. She just turned two five days ago while my triplets reached their teenage status a month before that.Scarlett was a heaven-sent to Aero and I. We were never sure what gender we would be blessed in my second pregnancy, but luckily, it was a female. A princess. Aero let me name her, and I used the Earth name of t
Chapter 57 – Baby StepsSerenaAero broke our kiss when we arrived in our favorite spot in the hot spring.“Welcome back,” he greeted and gave me a wink.I chuckled at this and turned to face the area where we made lots of cherished memories together—well, mostly hot ones.“Don’t just stare. Go and dip. You need to rest. I’ll massage you.”Hearing this, I tossed him a disbelieving look. “What? The great alpha king wants to massage me?”He pulled down his pants and straightened before me with pride in his eyes. “Yes, but you should know I only do this to the woman I love.”“Well then, massage away, my dear alpha king,” I answered before I bit my lower lip.My heart fluttered when he touched me again, first to caress my shoulder and next to trace the mate mark on my neck and the crescent moon mark on my wri
Chapter 56 – The BeginningAeroI didn’t doubt Serena when she said she wanted to deliver our children in a cave and with me assisting her. She trusted me with our sons’ lives. She didn’t second-guess me, so it was only right I shouldn’t second-guess myself too.Obviously, this wasn’t what we planned at all, but considering the circumstances, this was the best we could get. Serena seemed contented, so I was contented.Seeing her in pain, it sliced me to pieces. I wished I could fight this battle with her. I wished I could feel the same pain as what she was feeling, but I knew this was an obstacle reserved only for her. When our firstborn arrived, my happiness was over the moon.A father. The word echoed in my head repeatedly.I couldn’t believe I am a father now.I wanted to celebrate, but I knew it was best to do so later. Serena was due to deliv
Chapter 54 – Precious SoulsSerenaA sound of a cry and a huff escaped my mouth when I realized who just materialized inside the cave. My husband, who looked so good, so handsome, but also so worried, stood before me. My heart instantly leaped in joy. Finally, he came and right on time.“You never called me,” he said as he stepped forward toward me.“I was about to,” I answered, half wincing, half smiling. His warm hand contacted my cheek, and I reveled in the feel that it brought.“How are you feeling?” His gentle eyes landed on mine. His other hand touched my contracting belly and moved it up and down the roundness.“Tired,” I replied. “I’m in labor, Aero.”“I know,” he simply answered. He looked so calm on the exterior, but I knew deep inside his many emotions were swirling
Chapter 53 –The Scent of the QueenAeroI must say, Calaheim did me a favor. The area where the portal ended brought me inside a house that sickeningly smelled like Sofia. I was in a foyer in what I could reckon as the second floor, judging from the nearby stairs I spotted and the grand chandelier hanging on a beam just leveled with my line of sight. Below me, I could hear a woman talking—or more like complaining—together with a man groaning in pain.I instantly recognized their voices. One was Dr. Rutherford or Hilda with a rougher tone now than before, and the second was from Viscount Daniel.Slowly, I inched closer to the stone balustrade to spy on the situation. The viscount’s rough state made me clench my hands instantly. He was shirtless and bloody, with his arms and chest wounded with a slicing cut of a blade. This blade was visible on Hilda’s hand. The edge was pointed to
Chapter 53 –ForgivenessAeroHadon was sneaky, but I was sneakier. What I did was to only use my enhanced sense of smell to locate him everywhere he went in Ehnrelil. I observed enough distance between us; hid under the shadows or behind the walls and watched his every move.First, Hadon went to the Council of Elders’ tower. Did some paperwork there until he left two hours later and went to the Rexhus Tower. There were priestesses in training there. He observed them with a disappointed face and demanded more from them. Like a boastful man, he showed his spells—cheap magic tricks that even a fae child could do. But there was one that caught my eye. It was the cloaking spell he used when he kidnapped Serena.I gritted my teeth while I watched him show it off to the priestesses. I wanted to rip his throat apart, but I knew I had to be mor
Chapter 52 –Tailing the FaeAeroQueen Adna looked morose when I teleported to her throne room. Gone was her beauty. Gone was her radiance. She sat on the throne, slumped, silent and without life. It was ironic to watch her like this because I knew, if I was a female version worrying about Serena’s welfare, I would look the same. When she noticed my entrance, she perked up and her expression lightened a bit.“Have you found her?” She stood and asked without delay.I shook my head and maintained my neutral face. My anger remained on the surface just waiting to explode; waiting for me to unleash it to the right person. I just needed to find this person first.“No, I still haven’t, but I found out who took her,” I answered.Queen Adna’s worried ex
Chapter 51 – The Luna EscapesSerenaLike what Viscount Daniel said, I ran—or more like plodded—as far away as possible from Sofia’s house. The house was impressive—that was my first impression when I first glimpsed it en route to my escape path. The walls were made of white bricks and it was covered in vines almost deliberately to camouflage it with its surroundings. It had a landscaped garden and toadstool pathways—a standard in every fae house, but hers was a weird dark violet. The house was surrounded by autumn-colored trees and lavender-green grass; quite picturesque if not for the owner and the people living in it.The bluish color of the barrier was visible around the house, yet I couldn’t quite figure out the depth of its coverage: how many kilometers it stretched or how high it reached the sky.D
Chapter 50 – Her Majesty’s SaviorSerena“What does it feel to be hopeless now, luna? It’s fun, right?” Hilda stated as she continued to stare down at me. Her mocking voice was dripping with confidence, so similar like her daughter’s. I wanted to lash out, give her a witty reply, but the state I was in reduced me into a moaning mess.I embraced my contracting belly and ignored her instead.“Your husband will never find you. You are doomed,” she continued, still with the viscount by her side, just looking at me with no emotion in his eyes. “My daughter’s house is imbued with her magic—from the surrounding landscape to this very building we stand, and with Hadon’s help, this place is forever hidden. No one can enter unless I will it so.”“Mhhhh!” A whimper of
