“What is wrong with my son,” Brian asked, I knew he was panicking inside. My mother walked to him as she rubbed his back.

“You should be aware of his case of Hypogonadism?” the doctor said and Brian nodded. My head wanted to explore, Hypogonadism, I knew what it meant.

“It’s draining his muscle mass, it’s nothing serious but I would give him some medication for the side effect,” the doctor said and I watched as Brian sighed in relief, I could see the pain in his eyes.

The man was strong to have endured so much, losing his wife and son, then finding out his other son couldn’t produce children, I sat down as everything seemed to make more sense.

I understood why Brian was desperate, and trying to marry me off to Lucas, maybe that was why he wanted my mother, not to bear more kids but because of me. I gasped as the realization rocked through me.
