Aurora locked the door to the training house and dusted her hands. Her intention was to go back to the main house and rest her head since it was already night time, but she looked up and saw Maverick sitting on the front porch.

The guest who had come to the manor uninvited had left after she forcefully kicked them out, they overstayed their welcome.

She walked up to him before sitting beside him and stared up at the sky.

“What did you do about her?” He asked.

“I sent her back to the castle after striking a deal with her. She's better off there than here. If Mani stayed out later, The Mistress might suspect something.” she answered.

“What if she doesn't keep her part of the deal?”

“She has no option than to do what I asked of her, I already have her life in the palm of my hand.” She scoffed. “It is not like she is loyal to her boss anyways.” He didn't reply, he just nodded and turned back to stare ahead.
