Chapter 13

Bexley's POV

I left the class early today because I didn't have much to do. As soon as I walked outside. My phone buzzed. I opened my handbag and brought out my phone to check for the caller ID

Dr Marven popped out and I pressed the receiving button immediately.

"Hello, Dr".

"I might have good news for you. If you are available now. You can come to my office" Said Dr Marven.

"I will be on my way now. See you soon Dr. And thanks". I hung up the phone and walked out to get a ride.

He said he might have good news for me. What if he has found my parents? What if they don't want me? I shouldn't be thinking this way. I need to be positive.

I had been by myself all these years. The feeling of not growing up with any of my parents is not what I want to ever think about. It is pure torture. When other kids' parents would drop them at school. My case is different.

The orphanage home is the only place I can call my home. It's so painful. But, I've got over it now. Although, meeting my biological parents will make me feel better.

"Hi". I said to the ginger-haired female receptionist.

"How may I help you?". She asked.

"I have an appointment with Dr Marven. He is expecting me". I told her.

"Ok. Hold on, please". She breathes.

She confirmed my appointment through the intercom and as soon as she did. She directed me to his office.

"Thanks". I said and walked away.

I knocked on Dr Marvel's office door and he responded with "Come in please"

I pushed open the door and as I walked in. I closed the door behind me. The tall, skinny, middle-aged man welcomed me with a friendly smile.

"Good afternoon Dr. Thanks for the call earlier". I said.

"Please, sit down". He switched into work mode as he opened a folder.

"These test results were brought to me earlier today. And when I went through the results. I came across your name. And when I checked. You have a DNA match". He explained.

"How certain are you?" I eagerly asked.

"It's a 99% match Bexley. I think we found your Father". He concluded.

I covered my mouth with my palms. I was so excited. This is the best thing that will ever happen to me.

"How do I meet him?". I asked.

"That is the problem. He didn't leave his number. But, he submitted his email address. We've sent an email to him. Let's wait for his response ". He advised.

"Thank you so much, Dr. I am so happy, and I appreciate your efforts".

"It's our job, dear. That is the reason we are here. So, you're welcome. I'll keep updating you if anything comes out"

I stood up and shook hands with him.

"I shall wait for positive information when next we meet. Goodbye, Dr Martin ". I bid him goodbye, and I left his office.

My phone buzzed and when I checked. It's Asaf. So I answered the call.

"Hey," I breathe.

"Where are you?". He asked.

"I am on my way to my apartment". I replied.

"Ok, I'll meet you there. I want to help you pack your stuff. Blake told me that you will be staying with us from now on"

"Oh, that. Yes. I will see you then ". I hung up and I walked to the bus stop.

I booked an Uber, and I was on my way home. My mood is good today. I hope my father misses me just like I missed them.

"Are these the only things you want to pack?" Asaf asked.

"Yes. Just these. I don't think I would be staying for long. It's just until the bad man is caught". I chuckled.

"Ok. If you say so. We can always get you whatever you need".

I smiled at that. But, I don't want him spending his money on me anymore. He had done a lot for me.

"You won't spend any more money on me. I mean it, Asaf". I warned him.

"Yes ma. But, you will have to stop me first". He chuckled and left with my two bags immediately.

I locked up the apartment and walked to his car.

There is something weird about my neighbourhood today. It's somehow too quiet for my liking.

Two other black cars were packed outside my apartment. They followed behind us as we drove away.

"Asaf?" I asked.

"Yes". He replied, but his focus was on the road.

"There are two cars behind us. Do you know them?" I asked.

"Yes. They are the new security guards, my brother, just hired for me. That reminds me. Do you know that Blake also got you a bodyguard and a new car?". He asked.

"A new car? No. I only know that he was to get me a bodyguard just until all these stalker problems are over. But a new car? Why would he even do that?". I asked.

"Because he is Blake". He chuckled. "My brother is the best anyone can have, Bexley. I am very sure he sees you like his little sister. I want you to see him like that henceforth". He said with a small smile.

How am I going to see Blake like my brother? I don't think I can do that. My heart raced anytime I was around him. You don't get that kind of feeling when you are with your brother.

When I kissed him. I felt something. Something I couldn't explain. I even wet my panty the other day.

No Asaf. That is not how I see your brother. I might have feelings for your brother. Although, he is an asshole. An arrogant bastard. And a player.

Sometimes, I find it hard to understand him. How can he go all his way to buy me a car? I find it hard to believe.

Blake. What are you doing to me?
