Chapter: Selena's Perspective

When I got a call from Angel that Heaven was sick, I ran to the hospital as fast as I could. Panic surged through me, and all I could think about was my daughter's well-being. As I burst into Heaven's hospital room, relief washed over me when I saw her sitting up in bed, talking animatedly with Angel.

"Heaven!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with a mix of worry and love. I rushed to her side, enveloping her in a tight hug.

Heaven beamed at me, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Mom, you're here! Guess what? I went to a birthday party, and we had so much fun!"

I couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm, grateful that she seemed to be doing better. "Oh, sweetheart, I'm so glad you're feeling well enough to enjoy the party. Tell me all about it."

As Heaven launched into a detailed account of the festivities, the doctor walked in, his surprise evident on his face. "I'm glad to see you looking so much better, Heaven. Your recovery has been remarkable."

Selena When I left Angel's office, I needed a change of scenery, something to clear my head. I was scheduled to pick up a friend of my father from the airport, so I headed there, not expecting anything out of the ordinary. However, as I approached the arrival gate, I spotted a young man waiting, and he looked strangely familiar. He approached me with a warm smile, and my heart skipped a beat. "Selena, I presume? I'm Daniel, your father's friend's son."Recognition dawned on me, and I shook his hand with a polite smile. "Yes, I remember my father mentioning your name. Welcome to our city, Daniel. Let's get your bags and head to my home."As we walked to the car, Daniel complimented me on the city and its surroundings, making small talk along the way. He appeared to be polite and well-mannered, and it put me at ease. When we arrived at my house, I showed Daniel to the guest room where he would be staying. He was appreciative and commented on the beauty of the house."It's a lovely plac

SelenaI decided to give Daniel a tour of the city. He had expressed his love for Russia and its unique charm, and I thought it would be a great opportunity for us to explore together. As we walked through the bustling streets, he marveled at the architecture and the rich history of the city. His enthusiasm was contagious, and I couldn't help but share in his appreciation for the place I called home.We strolled through the city, making our way to a cozy coffee shop tucked away in a quiet corner. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm, inviting atmosphere welcomed us inside. We found a comfortable spot by the window, and I couldn't help but notice the thoughtful, pensive expression on Daniel's face.As we sipped our coffee and enjoyed a slice of cake, he suddenly looked distant. I could sense that something was on his mind, and I decided to gently inquire. "Daniel, is everything alright? You seem a bit lost in thought."He sighed and placed his cup on the saucer. Selena I found myself driving Daniel downtown to meet his aunt, Sylvia, for a mafia meeting. I was apprehensive about the situation, but I knew I had to support him during this difficult time. The car ride was mostly silent, with occasional glances exchanged between us, each laden with unspoken words. When we arrived at Sylvia's place, I was surprised by the warm welcome we received. Sylvia was a woman of strength, her eyes sharp and observant, but there was a kindness in her demeanor that put me at ease. She ushered us inside, offering us seats in her elegantly furnished living room."Daniel, my dear nephew," Sylvia began, her voice smooth and commanding. "I've heard about your recent loss. I'm truly sorry for your mother's passing. She was a remarkable woman."Daniel nodded, his expression a mix of gratitude and sorrow. "Thank you, Aunt Sylvia. It's been a challenging time for our family."Sylvia turned her gaze towards me, a small smile on her lips. "And you must be Selena, the yo

Selena After seeing Angel’s message, my body felt numb, and I knew my heart still yearned for him. But I had to put on a facade, redirect my focus, and pretend that everything was fine. Daniel and I spent the night well, engaging in light-hearted conversation and laughter, allowing the warmth of our newfound connection to overshadow the complexities of our individual lives. As the next day dawned, we made our way home, the events of the stormy night and Sylvia's elegant home lingering in the background of our thoughts. When we reached my doorstep, a sight caught my attention—a huge bouquet of flowers. At first, I assumed it was a romantic gesture from my boyfriend, but as I read the name on the card, reality shifted."Baby, come back to me," Angel's words echoed on the card. I rolled my eyes, concealing the internal turmoil his message stirred within me. Daniel, noticing my reaction, playfully teased me about the flowers, unaware of the history tied to them.I hesitated but decided to

Angel In the dimly lit room, frustration tightened its grip on me as I paced back and forth. Selena's rejection stung, and the revelation of her connection with Daniel, a shadowy figure, intensified my resolve to keep a vigilant eye on her. I decided to reach out to Nadya, a woman with a reputation for being discreet and effective.Nadya entered the room, her presence exuding a quiet confidence. "You wanted to see me, Mr. Angel?"I nodded, motioning for her to take a seat. "Yes, Nadya. I have a job for you, a crucial one. I need you to keep an eye on someone – Selena."Her eyebrow raised, a silent question lingering in her gaze. "Selena? Any specific reason?"I sighed, frustration evident in my voice. "She's been avoiding work, rejecting my gifts, and spending time with Daniel, a mafia boss. I need to know what's going on, Nadya. I don't trust him."Nadya leaned back, absorbing the information. "Understood. What's my approach? Do you want her to know I'm watching?"I shook my head. "

Selena I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, disrupting the peaceful silence of the morning. The maids brought in a beautiful bouquet, and there it was – a card with his name on it. "Angel." I scoffed at the irony of it all.Furious, I dialed his number, my frustration evident in my voice. "What do you think you're doing, Angel? Sending me flowers won't change anything!"He attempted to explain, but I wasn't having any of it. I unleashed my anger, yelling at him for meddling in my life. "I don't need your flowers, your interference, or anything from you. Stay out of my business!"Before he could respond, I hung up, not giving him the satisfaction of having the last word. The flowers, now a symbol of his unwanted presence, were cast aside, forgotten.Later that day, I found myself immersed in work, attempting to push aside the lingering annoyance caused by Angel's audacious gesture. My phone buzzed with a message, and against my better judgment, I checked it. Angel, again."Sele

The weight of the past three weeks pressed down on me, and the reality of Angel lying in a coma was an unbearable burden. My tears flowed freely as I grappled with the fear of losing him.The room was suffused with a sense of anguish, and I couldn't shake the haunting image of Angel motionless in that hospital bed. It was a stark contrast to the vibrant, audacious Angel I knew. I loved him, but the words had remained unspoken, trapped within the recesses of my heart.Daniel, unaware of my nocturnal turmoil, slept peacefully in the adjacent room. I couldn't disturb his rest, but the ache in my chest demanded an outlet. I decided to drive to the hospital, to be near Angel, even if he couldn't hear me.As I entered the sterile, hushed corridors of the hospital, my steps echoed with a melancholic rhythm. The soft hum of machinery and distant footsteps created a symphony of solitude. I reached Angel's room, hes
