In the morning, Paloma reminded Lilian to personally inform her VIP guest about the venue for breakfast. Lilian agreed and as early as six in the morning, she was outside the guestroom that Ortega was using and ready to knock. She knocked several times before she heard that someone was coming to open it for her. “Good morning Mister-” Lilian was speechless upon seeing the man who opened the door. He was not just handsome, but extremely good-looking and he was oozing with masculinity and sex appeal, and the way his deep blue eyes stared at her penetrated her core being. “Good morning, and you are?” It was the first time that Marcus saw the woman. “Lilian Murillo,” she answered. Marcus nodded when Lilian introduced herself. Daniella hasn’t mentioned anything about a stepsister during his short stay in their residence. When Marcus arrived at the beach and still wearing the ninja costume, she was relieved. Since she woke up, she was anxious that the man would do something unfavorable to her. Daniella stared at his back as he walked towards a vacant table to have his breakfast. Ortega joined him a few moments later, and she saw them laughing. Were they talking about her? She should find out! Daniella got a plate and filled it with her favorite breakfast and joined them. “Hello gentlemen, may I join you?” She smiled sweetly towards Ortega but glared at Marcus. There’s no other perfect opportunity where she could question Ortega about his relationship with her stepmother. Ortega recognized the woman who joined them. It was Daniella Reyes, the first job assignment for Marcus Madrigal. The picture that Paloma sent to him via email didn’t do justice to her actual appearance. After breakfast, some guests opted to take a dip, but he was warned not to take off his costume, thus Marcus decided to just go back to the house and stay inside his room where he was allowed to stop being a ninja for goodness sake. “Are you staying or you’re coming with me?” He asked Ortega when he was ready to leave. “Where are you going?” Ortega asked. “I need to sleep a little more, Ortega.” He answered. Ortega would never miss the perfect opportunity to show Marcus the vase that he noticed last night. “If that’s the case, then I’ll go with you.” He said, and as they walked side by side, he passed by the table where Lilian was sitting. “Hello sweetheart," he greeted the woman and she glared at him. He was a total bastard at that time but he was just shocked when he found out about her pregnancy. “Follow me,” she said after Marcus let her go from his tight embrace. She couldn’t wait for another chance to say everything that she wanted to tell him and a confrontation was overdue between them. Marcus followed Daniella and he found out that there was a connecting door behind the wardrobe that connected her bedroom and their daughter’s playroom. It was a brilliant idea to have their daughter’s playroom close to her. The playroom had a coffee table, probably for the supervising adults, and he saw Daniella sitting in one of the chairs. “So you lied about my death?” He asked as soon as he was seated opposite her. They were both adults and mature enough to settle things out on their own. Marcus was outraged but he was willing to listen to her reason for lying, but the woman didn’t open her mouth to speak and just glared at him. “Answer me!” he shouted. “Because it was the only way that they wouldn’t ask me about you! No one would care about the dead anymore, Marcus.” Finally,

She was caught…by him. Daniella looked away, however, she realized that she did nothing wrong. She didn’t regret anything that she did in the past, because that time, it was what she wanted. “So what if the documents were fake? Nothing will change between us, Marcus.” “We’ll see about that,” Marcus issued an empty threat to Daniella. He had no plan to publicize the issue, but he hoped that the woman would be acquiescent to the fact that he has some right over Ariana. “Ah, you must be confident now because you have the means to fight me in court. Or maybe you just want to ask for more? Tell me Marcus, was the amount you received after the annulment, not enough?” Daniella assumed that Marcus was pretending to fight for their daughter but the truth was, he just wanted to bleed her for some money. Marcus blinked several times when the woman treated him like an opportunist who was just after her money. It was the first time that he was treated like dirt and he didn’t like it! O

Her daughter would usually fall asleep while breastfeeding. Daniella waited until AJ was soundly asleep before she transferred her to their bed. “You’re still here?” She asked the man who was dozing off in his seat. “I waited for you. But Dani, don’t you think it’s better for AJ to sleep in the crib?” Yes, her bed was spacious considering that there were two queen-sized beds being put together in the room, but a child must be in the crib for safety precautions. Sometimes, adults moved a lot during their sleep and there would be a possibility that the child may be in danger. “I’m comfortable when she’s sleeping beside me, anyway, why do you care so much?” She started to be irritated at his nosiness. “But it’s safer in the crib,” he insisted. “Hold on, Marcus. Didn’t I make myself clear? You don’t have the right to question how I raised my daughter. You know, you’re very funny. It had been a week since Marcus left for the South to attend a birthday party but he was not back yet. She was worried and she missed him a lot. Every day, she went to his apartment if he has come home but there was no sign of Marcus. It wasn’t a busy day on the farm, and she was done with her monthly reports. She arranged the papers on top of her table before she went to the office of Mr. Velasquez to inquire about her lover. “Come in,” Samuel answered and Alicia immediately went inside and sat on the chair fronting her boss. “Good morning, Mr. Velasquez.” She greeted the man who was combing his hair with his hand and damn, he looked gorgeous even if he was already forty years old! Just by looking at her boss, she could tell that Samuel was good in bed and Jessica was lucky to have someone like him. “Yes, Alicia. There was a coffee table inside the woman’s office and he sat in one of the chairs. When he noticed the newspaper on the table, he read it, but then he observed that Alicia’s office was neat and organized. Her office was slightly different from that of the usual accounting office where folders and documents were overwhelming and topsyturvy. He had been waiting for about five minutes and planned to just come back when the phone rang. Marcus picked up the receiver and before he could even speak, the man on the other line started to talk. “Love, we have the woman’s address already. Just give us your order and you will no longer have a rival with Marcus.” Marcus immediately returned the receiver to its place and hurried up to leave, but in the process, he accidentally hit the picture frame that was on her table.
