"We have something else we need to do." Dylan grabbed Kevan's arm.

Kevan's voice was a bit hoarse, probably because he had not spoken in a while, so his voice changed rather unnaturally when he spoke up in response to what Dylan said.

Sharon eyed Dylan's hand on Kevan's arm thoughtfully before nodding. She left.

The moment Sharon left, Kevan removed his arm from Dylan's grasp, smoothing out the wrinkles in his sleeve with a disgusted frown on his face.

"Why don't I know that we have something else to do?" he asked in a low voice. It was at a volume that only he and Dylan could hear.

Dylan's gaze on him was complicated. However, he did not say what he wanted to say originally because there were outsiders nearby. He only sighed softly and said, "Let's talk somewhere else."

There were several lounges near the ballroom. They were originally meant for guests of the feast who came early. Now that everyone was already seated in the ballroom, the lounges were empty.
