Antonia started to feel bad lately . She consulted with Valeria and the both of them decided to go to the medic . When they arrived at teh hospital , they entered the doctor's study and handed over some analysis that Antonia had to do when she entered the hospital .

" Doctor , I feel strange lately . I am more hungry than usual and feel sleepy . I sleep a lot and..........I do have some strange mood changes . Is there anything wrong with me ? " said Antonia .

" He he he ! Nothing is wrong with you . You are just pregnant . " said the doctor with a laugh when he saw the worried expression on Antonia's face .

" WHAT ?!! " said Valeria with a super shocked expression .

" Yes ! Your friend is four months pregnant and is very healthy . " said the doctor .

When Antonia heard this , she remained speechless . The first thought that came to her mind and the first word that came out of her mouth was ' abortion ' .

" Can I get an abortion doctor ? I don't want this child . I want to abort it . Right away ! " said Antonia with her face becoming paler .

" Miss ?.....Abortion , what are you talking about ? " said the doctor confused .

" I can't......I can't have this child . " said Antonia with her face becoming even paler , making her faint .

" Antonia ? " said Valeria with a worried expression .

The doctor and Valeria took Antonia in their arms and raised her up then placed her up to a hospital bed . A nurse came and helped the doctors do the neccessary checkups on her . When Antonia came back to her senses , she saw Valeria helding her hand .

" Antonia , you silly girl ! You gave me a fright for a second . " said Valeria with a worried expression .

" Valeria.........I am sorry . " said Antonia with a smile and warmly when she saw Valeria worried for her .

The doctor enters with a few papers in his hand and walks near Antonia with a confused expression .

" Miss Antonia , how are you ? " asked the doctor .

" Not well . Please doctor , tell me that you will aprove of my request to abort this child . Please ! " said Antonia .

The doctor could see the desperate look in his eyes and couldn't bring himself to keep the bad news from her .

" Miss Antonia........I can see the dissapointment , sadness , anger and annoyance in your eyes but.............as a doctor , I do not want to pressure you psychologically but you need to know this . If you abort this child...........you will not be able to bear another one . Not only this but abortion can affect your health a lot . You may not be able to recuperate after this.......... " said the doctor with a serious tone but still feeling a bit of sympathy because Valeria explained to him that the child she was born was the productivity of her being raped .

" What ?..........Doctor , please.......please do not tell me this . there must be a way to get rid of this child . I do not want him . " said Antonia with a desperate expression .

" I am sorry but the only opinion you have here is to give birth to this child . No matter under what circumstances children were created , they are innocent miss Antonia . Please take my advice into consideration . It's either you give birth to this child or you eventually get heavily sick and even die from the abortion . There's no middle way in this . " said the doctor with a serious tone .

Valeria grabbed Antonia's hand and held it tightly .

" Don't do anything stupid Antonia ! I am warning you . " said Valeria .

" Valeria , are you telling me to give birth to that......that.......bastard's child ?! " said Antonia with her eyes filled with refusal .

Antonia felt her heart being torn again . She held her chest and started to feel strong pain , as if a sword was piercing it continuously . Another needle was added to the needle piercing her heart but this needle , stuck deeper than the others , ended up becoming one with the heart .valeria hugged Antonia and tried her best to calm her down . Just when she thought that her problems had really come to an end , just when she thought that she could start making the best out of her life , a pregnancy shut sown every possibility . A pregnancy which she despised , hated but at the same time couldn't separate from . After they got home , Antonia was nothing more than a walking zombie . For the next two weeks Valeria could hardly make her eat . As time passed , Valeria succeded in getting Antonia back on track from teh pregnancy blow . She helped her psychologically and even cooked for her . During the next months , Valeria also made sure to convince Antonia that the child was innocent and that she wouldn't hate him . Things became better and Antonia started to look healthier . Four months passed and everything was going on perfectly but to their surprise , Valeria won a high-paid job position in Paris . Valeria really wanted to go but she worried about Antonia being alone now that she was only two months away from giving birth . Antonia saw the excitement in Valeria's eyes and she couldn't keep her best friend from making her dream a reality . She pushed Valeria and made her accept the offer . When accepting the offer , the others informed her that she would have to stay half a year in Paris .

" Antonia , can you stay here alone ? " asked Valeria checking her bags .

" Of course I can . I am not a child . " said Antonia with a smile .

" You are not a child but you are carrying a child . " said Valeria .

" Alright ! Alright ! Stop being so nagging and hurry or else you will lose your plane . " said Antonia .

" Haaaah ! I don't want to leave knowing that you are already near to giving birth . Shall I not go ? " said Valeria with a troubled expression . 

" No ! I am not allowing you to miss such a great chance to create a great career for yourself . I will not be able to live with the thought that you are giving up such a great opportunity because of me . If you don't wanna make me suffer then go . I will be cheering for you . We will also be talking on facetime everyday . " said Antonia with a smile .

" Okay ! I will go . Remember what we talked about Antonia . The child is innocent . Don't do anything to him . He is an angel that god has gifted you . Please be careful .  There are three more months to go until you give birth . I will try my best to come back sooner .  " said Valeria .

" Fine ! " said Antonia .

' I surely must have saved the galaxy for having a great mother and such a great best friend . ' thought Antonia with a smile .

" I will go now . Bye Antonia ! Bye, my dear , your godmother will make sure to come back soon so that she can kiss your soft cheeks . " said Valeria with a smile , patting Antonia's big tummy . 

" Bye Valeria ! We will wait for your return here . " said Antonia .

" Bye ! Bye ! " said Valeria and went out of the door , with her bags .

After Valeria left , Antonia closed the door and her hand went to her tummy .

' .....From teh first day that you learned I was pregant you keep calling this baby an angel . Is he really an angel ?........Heh ! If he was , why would god tie him so much with me , to the point that I cannot even abort it..................I am sorry Valeria . I have tried my best to try and think of this child as an innocent creature , to try and love him , just a little bit but I can't . ' thought Antonia with a guilty expression  .

She couldn't bring herself to keep the promise she made to Valeria . The two months went by quickly and the time for her to give birth was near . One day , after chatting with Valeria on the phone , Antonia was on her way to the supermarket near the hospital . After she got the lemonade she was craving for , she walked back to her appartment . The doctor had advised Antonia to be careful and do not use the car but to walk so that she could give birth easily .

' I have been uncomfortable since morning . I do not know what's wrong with me but I haven't been able to properly rest today . My whole body feels a bit itchy and.......I have a little pain in my back . ' thought Antonia as she walked .

When walking she felt her head spinning and her vision became blurry . Antonia felt the strength of her body leaving her as she fell to the ground . A woman who saw her falling rushed towards her  .

" Miss ! Are you alright ? Miss ? Miss ! " said the lady and started to shake her .

When she realized that Antonia had fainted , she hurried to call for help . The hospital was near and the nurses with two doctors helped Antonia inside the hospital . The nurses prepared a dip for her and placed her on a bed . Antonia regained her senses and looked at the place confused .

" Finally you are alright . " said the woman relieved .

" I.....remember fainting........ " said Antonia .

" Yes , you fainted . I brought you here at the hospital . " said the woman .

" T....T....Thank you madam .  " said Antonia with a grateful smile . 

" No problem ! I am very glad that you are alright . Now that you woke up , I have to get going . My husband is waiting for me outside . " said the woman .

" Thank you madam . You are a very kind person . I am sorry to have disturbed you .  "said Antonia with a smile .

The woman nodded her head and walked out of the room . Antonia waited for another twenty minutes then started to feel the piercing pain again . She called for doctors to come but no one was coming . She couldn't stand the pain anymore and took off the dip then walked out of the room , trying her best to keep herself from falling .On the corridor , a doctor saw Antonia and called out to her . When the other doctor heard her name , he turned his face shocked towards her . When Antonia saw him , she called out to him with the strength she had left .

" Alex........ " said Antonia with a weak tone .

" Antonia ? " said Alex surprised when he saw her at the hospital .

" A.......A........Alex.......help......help me . I don't feel........g.....good . It......It hurts ! " said Antonia touching her big pregnant belly .

She had a faint expression on her and was really pale . Alex checked her pulse then looked at the blood which stained her dress the moment her knees fell on the ground .

" Doctor the bleeding isn't a good sign . " said the nurse grabbing Antonia from her left arm .

" She's entered her labor stage . You are about to give birth . Prepare the room for her ! Right now ! " said Alex holding her .

" Yes ! " said the nurse and went to prepare the operating room .

' Hold on Antonia......... ' thought Alex looking at her with a worried expression .

The nurses brought the portative bed quickly and took Antonia to the labor room .

" Doctor , from the analysis and the graphics , she cannot get operated . If she does , she will die from hemorrhage and severe blood loss . I don't know what happened to her but the patient must be suffering a lot psychologically for her body to be like this . " said the nurse worried .

" What if she gives birth herself ? " asked Alex .

" There's a ten percent more chance that she will live . Her labor is quite dangerous in both options . I dare not suggest which one to choose. " said the nurse with a troubled tone .

" She will give birth naturally . Everyone in their positions . " said Alex .

" Yes ! " said the nurses and prepared the room .

When Antonia came in , she had opened her eyes a little .

" Alex...... " said Antonia with a weak tone .

" You have entered the labor stage . You are giving birth now but it may be a bit difficult . I need you to remain conscious . " said Alex .

" Aghhhh !.........I........Thank you...........for helping me . " said Antonia with a weak tone .

" You silly girl ! Where the hell were you all this time ? You have no idea how much I have searched for you after you left that day . " said Alex with a hurt expression when seeing how much pain she was .

" I.......Heh...... " said Antonia smiling bitterly and clenching her hands from the pain .

" ....Make sure you push ! Push hardy ! " said Alex .

Antonia couldn't stand the pain but still kept pushing . With every push , she felt relieved . Although she didn't blame the baby for what happened to her , she wanted to get him out of her body as soon as possible .

" AHHHHH !!!!! " screamed Antonia from the huge pain of the final push .

" Whaaaa......Whaaaaaa.....Whaaaaa !!! " the crying sound of the newborn baby .

" Doctor , it's a healthy boy ! " said the nurse with a smile seeing the baby was healthy .

" Good job Antonia ! You have a son . " said Alex with a smile .

When Antonia heard him , she looked at the baby covered in blood being taken away by the nurse , wrapped in a white towel with a confused expression .

' Why.......Why is it so painful ? Why is this world so cruel ? Why is this place so noisy ? Why is this atmosphere so cold ?.................Why do I have to go through so much pain when I have not hurt anyone in my life................Just why......... ' thought Antonia with tears falling down her eyes as she closed them and lost consciousness .

She found it hard to breathe and her chest started to hurt a lot , making her faint .

" Doctor , she is having a cardiac arrest........Her heart is losing beat..... " said the nurse with a worried tone when checking the monitor .

" No ! No ! Antonia ! Bring the machine here . Quickly ! " said Alex anxiously .

" We can't use the machine on her , doctor ! The blood pressure is very low . She can't withstand it . " said the nurse .

He got up on the bed and started to press on her heart .

' I will not allow you to die . You can't die Antonia............ ' thought doctor Alex with a worried expression as he massaged her chest , trying to bring the heartbeat again .

A minute passed but Alex didn't stop . He kept pressuring her chest as if his life depended on it . At the last minute , the signal on the monitor appeared again .

" Doctor , she is safe ! " said the nurse with a relieved expression .

Everyone sighed in relief when they heard Antonia's heartbeat again . Alex looked at the monitor comforted , seeing her vital statistics being normal .

' A miracle...........truly a miracle......... ' thought Alex with a serious expression looking at her .

Some of the nurses took the baby away and the others took Antonia away to wash them up properly . Three days passed and Antonia was still laying on the bed unconscious . When Alex entered her room the fourth day , to check on her , he saw her moving her hand . She opened her eyes and looked around confused . The moment she sat , she felt extreme pain down her stomach .

" Ouc ! My tummy....... " said Antonia and Alex rushed to her side helping her lay on the bed properly .

" Take it easy Antonia . You have to rest properly if you wanna get up " said Alex with a serious expression .

" ........Ahhh......My body........Why do I feel so painful ? Alex , what's wrong with me ? " said Antonia hurt , feeling pain all over her body .

" Haaaaah.........I feared the worst . As a genius in the medical field , I say , it's a miracle that you are still alive . I can't even begin to say how relieved I am when I heard your breathing . You are indeed blessed by God . " said Alex with a caring smile .

" Blessed by god ?..........Heh ! What blessing are you talking about Alex ?........My cousin sister drugged me . I was raped in a merciless way by an unknown man . I was kicked out of the family for being a victim of the complot my cousin sister created just so that she could rob me of the only good thing there is in my life , the person I love..........His hurt expression is still fresh in my memory . " said Antonia with her eyes being filled with tears right away .

Alex went near her and whipped her tears with his napkin and tenderly patted her head .
