Chapter 40 Fight Back

Jayden returned to the living room of the police station. Lea opened her eyes and sat up straight. She looked at Jayden in confusion.

"Oh, I fell asleep. Why didn't you wake me, Jay?" Lea asked, writhing in pain.

Jayden laughed and sat by Lea's side. He reached out and smoothed Lea's messy hair. "You only got less than fifteen minutes of sleep, Lea. I just went to the bathroom, and spoke to the police who are processing this case, asking about checking the water that was accused of causing the problem."

"Fifteen minutes? Ooh ... that's the deepest sleep I've ever had in the last month," Lea said happily.
