Jealousy

As the guests started entering one by one, I prepared myself. Locus got up and greeted everyone until one of them hugged Locus and started talking. They seem really close. I went beside Locus when I saw how his guest was staring at me.

"Locus, long time no see," the guest said.

Locus looked at him nodded his head then smiled.

He kept glaring at me, my heart skipped a beat when he whispered to Locus loud enough for me to hear  "who is this beautiful girl?" he didn't wait for Locus to answer him.

"Alex," he said as he extended his hands for me to shake it.

I was surprised I looked over to Locus whose eyes were filled with anger while looking down as he clenched his hand.

"Amelia '' I said as I shook his hand.

Alex looked at me just before he went to take a seat beside Locus. I placed my hand on his clenched hand to relax them. He looked back at me. I let out a sigh when I saw him calm down. I didn't find any reason why he would react like that.

As they settled all down Charlotte approached from beside "everything okay? Did you get everything ready? She whispered to me. I looked at her as I whispered back that I got everything and smiled and as I smiled back to her she left and closed the door as I was looking directly at her. I didn't notice that Locus had been looking at me with a small grin on his face.

I smiled back at him then he cleaned his throat, he began to talk. I don't really understand too much from what he was saying so I wrote down everything that he was saying. As they went deep about the conversation I finally understood they were talking about rebuildings.

As I was taking notes, I understood that they want to demolish poor people's homes, which they could only afford in that small area, so that they can build homes for the wealthy, perhaps leaving them homeless on the roads. I looked from my notebook as I couldn't hold myself, what would happen to the poor people.

The room was silent as everyone was scanning through the interaction folder that Charlotte had prepared.

"What do you think you're doing?" I said through the silent room. Everyone was confused as they looked where the voice was coming from. Locus immediately looked at me, grabbed my wrist and sat me back down.

"What are you doing"? He hissed

"You're willing to destroy poor people's houses, didn't you think what would happen to them, what kind of heart do you have that you're going to destroy without thinking about the women and children or even the men?" I can feel Locus' anger start to build up. He got up from his chair and he came closer to me and grabbed my wrist tighter. When I hissed in pain he released it right away.

I could feel everyone's eyes on us through the darkroom. When we kept staring at each other one of the guests broke the silence between us.

"Locus, what's going on?" and of course it was Alex.

Locus didn't pay attention to him as he kept staring at me. He sat back down and continued what he was saying. "I didn't get the chance to finish what I was saying just before my helper interrupted," he said as he looked at me I glared at him while I remained standing.

"Just as I was saying we're going to destroy the buildings and renew them for rich people, those who are living there will be prevented from having a more settled place for them to live just like the normal people." as he said these words I covered my mouth I was embarrassed. What did I do I'm so stupid who am I to say my opinion now I'm 100% I'm fired.

I sat back down as I looked at my written note. I didn't realize I was crying until my tears dropped on my notebook. When the meeting was over every one of course except Alex as I heard them they were going to have lunch together.

Locus asked him to wait for him. He grabbed my wrist and took me to his office. I looked over at Charlotte as she got up from her chair looking worried at me. I mouthed her "I screwed up." as I shook my head. We went inside his office as he closed his door and slammed me against the door as tears started building in my eyes.

"What the fuck did you just do there?"

"I'm sorry I didn't know what I was" I started but he cuts me off

When I don't permit you to talk then don't" he comments as he "placed both of his hands to each side of my head.

I stared at him "I'm sorry" I said in a whisper as my tears drifted down my cheeks. Locus stared at me as he placed his lips on mine, he kissed me passionately, when he broke the kiss he came close to my neck sending shivers down my whole body, he placed a kiss on my neck. Then he moved to my ears as he whispered.

"if you were mine...." he paused, kissing my collarbone then he went back to my ears "I would have punished you by not making you able to walk," he said, whispering in my ears. My heart skipped a beat as my eyes went wider.

He looked at me and smirked as he was about to go in for another kiss when there was a knock on the door. I wasn't able to move. I tried to step aside and I came back to myself when I heard Alex's voice. He came in without Locus and told him that he could stand his ground when he saw me standing behind Locus. He came closer to me and stood in front of me. "Your speech was amazing" he commented as he giggled.

I remained silent as I looked from Alex to Locus then back to my hands.

"Amelia wasn't it? Alex asked me now he already remembered my name which I don't get why he's asked again.

"Yes," I answered, looking at him with raised eyebrows.

"would you like to join us for lunch break I know Locus wouldn't mind," he said as he winked at me.

"oh, I" I mumbled. I looked over at Locus as he was looking at me "she's busy she got work to do." Locus replied.

"Oh come on, it's almost 12 PM and she must be hungry too." Alex grained at me. "Okay then if she doesn't come now the I could wait for her break then me and her could go for lunch break"

I looked away from him as I rolled my eyes. "Okay well it's up to her to leave and we will be right behind you" Alex nodded his head "looking forward to having lunch with you," he said before leaving.

"I let you come just because I don't want him alone with you. I don't trust him" he said as he walked out immediately. I was lost about what he said as I was still processing what was happening. First I fucked up at the meeting then Locus kissing me and talking dirty to me? I asked myself. Then I ran out to catch up with Locus.

*Lucas's Pov*

As we all went for lunch I noticed that Alex hasn't stopped staring at  Amelia since we sat down, everytime I looked at Amelia I caught her staring at me. As soon as I looked at her she lowered her eyes down to her plate. As I was eating I heard Alex started talking with Amelia. I brought my focus back to them and stared at them angrily but I had to control myself not to show them that I was jealous especially not to Amelia. It's been an hour so we decided to get up, as we said goodbye Amelia got in my car and I drove back to the company.

I asked Amelia to have a word with her, as she nodded and walked behind me toward my office. I went in first as I stood by the window looking outside as I slowly tried to calm down my anger. When Amelia was behind me I turned toward Amelia and I saw how she flinched.

"You like him huh?" suddenly I asked what was wrong with me now she will notice that I was jealous.

"Wait what.... no" she replied and I felt relieved then I turned my back to her.

"you can leave in an hour," I said as I walked back to my desk.

"Why do I still have time and it's 1:15 PM?" I howled.

"you don't seem to be okay," I ask.

"What, no I'm fine why wouldn't I be okay?" he scoffed.

"Stop arguing back" I yelled.

"Okay fine," she said, giving up.

I asked her to work on the meeting and to print me each of the folders that have been signed by each member and bring it to me, when she finishes she can leave. Amelia nodded her head then left the room.

*Amelia pov*

What the hell was wrong with him? I don't want to believe that he's angry because of what happened with me and Alex. It wasn't my fault that Alex kept talking to me.

As I begin working on the papers from the meeting I wrote down everything that they agreed on in the meeting and I had to write it on docs then I have to print it and give it to Locus so he can go over it. And each member sign files. By the time I finished, it was 2:15 PM I took the paper that I just printed and went to Locus' office. I knocked but there was no answer, there was no way he left without me seeing him or at least telling me that he will be leaving.

Then I decided to go in. He was sitting in his chair as his head was laying back as his eyes were closed, is he sleeping? I asked myself. I stopped in my spot as I began admiring him, I stared at his face, his sharp jaw, his hair, his bordered chest. I jumped when I heard him speak.

"Are you gonna keep staring?" Locus asked.

" I um" I begin "I finished the papers," I said not knowing what else to say after he caught me staring while he pretended to be asleep.

"I thought you left when I knocked and you didn't answer."

"I wanted to rest," he said as he got up and started walking toward me.

What the hell is wrong with him? Why does he keep walking toward me like that?

"You finished?" he asked.

"You what Amelia," he said as he grabbed my waist and slammed me against his hard body sending fire through my body. I didn't know what to say as he kept coming closer to me. His lips were inches from mine. I could feel his warm breath on my lips.

"I... I" I spoke with a shaky voice.

Locus Stared at me without saying anything for a couple of seconds as he backed away, he then took the papers from me and went back to his seat.

"You can leave, that's all for today I'm leaving soon too." I went running out from his office and I grabbed my staff and said goodbye to Charlotte before I left.

As I was walking I had no idea where to go just then I received a message from Emily.

Hey Amelia,

Look as I told you I'll be back tonight one time I left my spare keys at my friend's house so in the morning I asked her to dropped them at you.

So she left it under the matt okay love.

Thank God finally I can go home.
