Jill’s POVThe rest of the day was spent looking though the folders. The servant’s brought us food up to the guest communal lounge. They made sure to make food that we could eat while we worked. Chad’s POVI loved the fact that everyone went off to work together leaving just me and Jill together. I spent the whole day right by her side and I loved every minute of it. It started to get late, and everyone made excuses and disappeared. I knew that Jill was not ready to have me in her room yet so I told her that I would go to the gym. We walked out together and went our separate ways. I went to the gym, and she went to her office to look though her fathers computer. The men in the pack must have started to get used to me as I did not receive as many dirty looks. I ran the same course as Jill, and I did and then punched some of the bags before I finished with some weights and headed back to my room for a shower. As I entered my room I saw that the light was still on in Jill’s office. I decided to leave it for now as I was covered in sweat and needed a shower. Steve’s POVI watched Chad and Jill working together. I had been shocked when Jill wanted to go help Chad bring the folders in but decided to let it go. Then after she saw the live stream and Chad comforted her. I noticed how she did not try to move away from him, instead she leaned into him. The others must have noticed too as after dinner they are started to make excuses to leave. I told her that I wanted to check the live link and see if I could spot any of the places that we were told about from James’s friends. She seemed to buy it, I winked at her as I walked away. I heard the two of them say something and then I heard their footsteps leaving.“Why are you listening at the door?” Vic was looking at me like I had lost my mind“Did you not notice Chad and Jill?”“What they were working together and not fighting”“No, they were close, when Chad offered comfort to Jill she did not push him away like she usually does. Jill’s POVAfter Chad left I got myself dressed and then sat on the bed. I hoped that no one noticed him returning to his room. I was pulled from my thoughts by a knock at the door. I walked over and a smiling Charles was stood there.“Am I still allowed to have tonight off?”“How can I say no to your happiness” I laughed“Speaking of happiness what that Chad I saw leaving your room this morning?”“Please don’t tell anyone, nothing happened. Chad’s POVAs soon as we arrived at the dining room I could feel Steve watching both Jill and I. I could also see that Jill was uncomfortable, I glared at him a couple of times, but he chose to ignore me. When he asked Jill what the plan was today I had to roll my eyes. He knew that we were doing the same as yesterday, the only difference was that we were doing it in her office. I noticed the angry look on Jills face as she answered him. I suddenly saw his eyes glaze over and when I looked at Jill she was glaring at him. It did not take a genius to figure out that she was mind-linking him. Once the mind-link ended I noticed that he stopped watching us, I also noticed that Jill was pissed. She finished her food in silence and left the room with Charles right at her heels.
