James’s POV

I was wondering how the meeting was going to go with the counsel. I was glad that Chad had agreed to go and see them and not try to sort this all out on his own. This was not a lot bigger than just stopping the human trafficking. I was good and waited about an hour an then I linked Jill. She was so shocked that it was me and not Chad. She seemed fine once I told her that Chad had gone to the council. I was hoping that he would be back soon and fill us in on what was going on. I managed to talk Jill into asking her wolf Clair about the past, it was too much of a coincidence that her wolf had the same name as the Wolf Kings mate to me. Thankfully her wolf opened up and started to tell us the story of what happened. After Clair told us her story she advised she was tried and went back sleep in the depths of Jill.
