I have no idea what Victora and Steve did when they went upstairs, but Steve came down a new man. He was laughing and having a good time. He filled up a plate for Vic and gave it to her while she sat with the girls and then came back to get himself a plate and talk to me and James.

“Are you ok man?” I asked “You have been a bit tense since I asked everyone to hang out together”

“Yeah, I am sorry about that. I thought it was stupid to put off what we all know is going to happen anyway. We all know that Aaron will not back down. Victoria has told me that we are only stalling so that Jill can spend the holidays with us rather than been alone”

“This will be the first Christmas where Jill will be able to relax and have fun. I want to make this special for her. I want her to be able to hold on to the happy memories when she has to go though the hell her father will try put her through”
