One Hundred and Six

Chad’s POV

The boys and I were relaxing and playing around in the river when Jill mind-linked me. I slowly walked to the bank and laid down in the sun.

‘Hey’

I could tell instantly that something was wrong, and I could feel my hackles rise ‘What’s wrong’

‘My dad was here’

‘What how did he get past the wards?’ I yelled, I was freaking out. Did he take her? Was this her contacting me to tell me she was now a prisoner?

‘He didn’t, he was over the other side of the road watching our room. As soon as I opened the curtains he mind-linked me’

‘Are you ok? What did he say?’ I breathed a sigh of relief that he had not manged to get to her.

‘He told me that you would not always be with me and that he would come for me when I least expect it. It does not matter how vigilant you are’

‘We need to come back, I need to be with you’ I knew that she was upset. I did not care if it would upset Megan. I needed to be with Jill.
