One Hundred and Ninety Eight

Jill’s POV

Josh was right on time for picking me up, he had booked an uber for us so that we could both drink. I had arranged to meet Brian and the others outside. Josh opened the car door for me and then softly closed it behind me once I was in. The action reminded me of Chad, and I had to shake the thought away. I did not want to get my hopes up about everything working out tonight. I knew that my heart would not be able to take the pain. I smiled at Josh, and he got in on his side and I did not pull away when he took my hand in his. We had been getting along so well these last few days. Maybe if things didn’t work out with Chad he would be a good substitute. It didn’t take long to arrive at the party, and I looked at the size of the line.

“Shit this place is packed”

“You said Brian is coming right?”

I nodded my head “Yeah why?”

“The bouncer will let us in as soon as he sees we are with him”

I nodded my head and turned to see Chads truck pulling up. I could not tear my eyes away as
