Trouble

Once in the café, everyone’s eyes were on them, on Lennon to be exact, the famous actor and idol, who every girl dream of dating him and becoming his wife, but why is he with a woman and a child? Is it his wife and son? That’s a big scoop!

  The family of three didn’t notice the eyes following them, but Maya sure did notice someone taking a picture of them, making her uncomfortable and tightly hold Noah’s hand as she told him to look down. She didn’t tell anything to Lennon, letting him order them their food, waiting to tell him when they sit down, without anyone around.

  As soon as the waitress left, who kept glancing at them even after she left, Maya gestured Lennon to come closer and told him about the others looking at them and taking pictures.

  “Is one of us famous?” Lennon whispered to her, as Noah was happily looking at his parents, without interrupting them, he enjoyed listening to them and being a part of the family, they never spent time together so he doesn't want to ruin this moment by talking or making them angry.

  “How would I know? Oh wait, I found a phone earlier.” Maya said, remembering the phone she found when looking for money, she didn’t know if it was supposed to be hers or his, because the lock screen is a generic photo that comes with the phone. “There is a code.” Maya held the phone in her hand, disappointed that it needed a password.

  “I know a trick, give it to me.” Lennon said and Maya handed him the phone, without any second thoughts and while he tried to open it, Maya played with Noah.

  Maya showed Noah a couple of magic tricks, she learned online and he was really impressed by them, clapping every time with a cute smile, making it hard for Maya not to give him kisses; their fun time was cut short, because the food arrived.

  “Lennon, just leave it and eat.” Maya said, glancing at Lennon who still had the phone in his hands and haven’t touched the food at all. He didn’t listen to her at all, so she got back to feeding Noah.

  “I got it! I opened it.” Lennon excited voice rang in the crowed café. "Good job!" Maya exclaimed in happiness, but her happiness soon died down, when she heard Lennon's stomach rumble loudly.

  “Okay, now put it down and eat. I will look into it.” Maya said and Lennon agreed, since he was pretty hungry. Maya asked Noah if he could eat the rest by himself, after he nodded, she patted his head and took the phone in one hand and ate with the other one, while occasionally giving Noah side glances to make sure, he doesn’t need any help.

  The phone contained several phone numbers, but she couldn’t call any of them since she doesn’t know what to say, nothing was useful in the phone, other than it has internet connection, meaning she can google the both of them and see if they are indeed famous. She wrote her name first, hoping that nothing comes out and nothing did, she was so glad because being famous is a burden she doesn’t want to carry.

  By googling Lennon’s name, yes, his real name in his last life, if her name stayed the same, of course Lennon will as well, with the last name she found on the file, she got a lot of results, but the big two words were the one that left an impact on her, making her choke and cough loudly.

  Lennon handed her a cup of water and asked if she was okay, while Noah got up on the seat and tried to help, by patting her back.

  “I am okay, just something got stuck in my throat.” Maya drank the water, her cough getting less aggressive.

  “Did I help mama?” Noah asked, hoping he was able to help, even a little bit, wanting to be useful to his mother and get her to like him more, by proving he is totally useless, as she used to say.

  “Yes, baby, you made me feel so much better.” Maya kissed his cheek, then told him to get back to eating; as she pulled Lennon by the collar of his shirt, close to her, a bit too close, since their faces were inches away from each other, but that didn’t matter, what mattered is what she found out.

  “I would like some personal space.” Lennon said, trying to push his face away from Maya, but she didn’t let him, because she didn’t want Noah to hear them since she is going to say bad words.

  “Fuck your personal space, this is more important, you are the one who is famous, you are an actor and a singer, do you know what that means?” She whispered to him, glancing a Noah, to make sure he didn't hear her, luckily he wasn't, he was enjoying his food and living in his own world.

  “I am rich and famous?” Lennon didn’t know what was wrong with being famous, other than getting chased around by random people, like two girls who have been trying to approach them for the past half hour.

  “No, it means we are in big trouble because you are supposedly single.” Maya’s life flashed before her eyes, when she read that he has no spouse or children.

  “And?” Lennon asked, still not getting the problem, everyone has their own secrets that they don’t want to share, what’s so bad about hiding a wife and a son.

  “You never see the news, do you know when a celebrity is with someone? Shit gets wild. And because you are handsome, most of your fans must be girls so double trouble and we have a child, so triple double.” Maya wanted to kill that Nova thing, right this instance, why couldn’t he tell them these things? Forgetting by that, the files laying on their night stand.
