Leon was confused as to why she told him to leave in that manner. Had he done something to upset her? As he stepped down the temple's porch, he kept looking back to see if she had changed her mind and came to stand behind him. Or had she seen something terrible? He would have to ask her later because he couldn't quite understand why she had been that way to him. Delilah remained in the temple. She was eerily still and the shaman who had come to check on her stood by the side, afraid that she might do something to her. Delilah had seen a little baby in Lillith's arm. It had been a long time since she saw the woman in her trances. Seeing a baby meant she already delivered but there was something really strange about it. She could pinpoint what it was. She didn't want Leon around her because there was a likelihood of her telling him that she had been pregnant through out the time she was here. He would hate her for it. Definitely. Once she was done, she stood t
Lilith was still recovering but that didn't stop Lucien from throwing a party. As usual, it was held at her new home with just them both and the servants. They didn't care for other people. They already understood that she was hiding from someone who hated her and only wanted bad for her. They had no idea who it was and it was safer that way. Lillith had just finished breastfeeding her baby. She took him to his nursery and laid him in his cot before shutting the door gently behind her and leaving with a smile on her face. Ever since Henry came into her life, she was filled with so much joy. One she couldn't contain. He brought peace and hope to her and being with him was all she had ever asked for and everyday before going to bed and after waking up in the mornings, she swore to protect him at all cost. She met Lucien in the hallway. He had two glasses of wine in his hand. Stretching out his hand, be handed it over to her. "Have you forgotten that I a

Something told Leon to go back to White Plateau Pack. Actually, he had sent a few of his spies. They had snuck in on the day he had visited Lucien to beg for his forgiveness. Though he wanted their friendship to be restored, he still felt something fishy about this whole thing. He believed Leon was hiding something from him but he dared not question him as that would tear them apart the more. So he asked two of his most trusted guards to sneak carefully into the pack and look around. He was to return a few days later back to the boundary of the pack to know if they had seen anything. Well, he was going today. Earlier than usual. That didn't matter. Since Delilah had given him a go ahead, who was he not to go? He knew she had seen something. Though she refused to tell him what, she knew it had to do with Lillith. He had gone with about fifty of his strongest warriors; Calvary and infantry and they were all ready to attack. He had asked them to sneak in withou
Lillith sat in the same spot for an hour. She was deep in thought. She kept staring at her little baby and thinking of the possibility of trying to escape once again. She didn't need Lucien to tell her. She knew Leon was here for her. She thought he was going to stop after sometime? She had been fine for seven months! Seven good months! Why the hell was he here for her again? She sighed and leaned her back against her chair. Her baby was fast asleep and in no time, he was going to be awake and wanting to be fed by her. She turned to see Regan coming into the room. She offered her a small smile and shut the door gently. "You've been here for a long time. It's time for lunch. I'm sure Henry wouldn't want to wake up to nothing," Lillith's lips trembled. "I am not hungry, Regan. I am content without eating anything," Regan sighted. "Why are you so worried about him? Lucien is out there. He's going to protect you. Trust me. Once he cares about someone, he neve
In the heat of it all, Leon saw Lillith rush in through the gates with a child in her hand. He had thrown Lucien to the floor to see her standing there, looking like the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. But then again, he was consumed by terrible anger. If this child belonged to her, then he was going to kill Lucien once and for all for touching his woman. He left Lucien and walked towards her. He stopped a few feet away from her when he saw that she was retreating from him. She held Henry close to her and when he began to cry, she looked down at him and began to serenade him silently. For a whole minute, none of the men said anything. They just watched her take of the baby and when she finally looked up, Leon was the first to speak. He pointed at the child. "Who does that belong to?" Lillith decided that it was time to stop hiding and maybe tell the truth. She was tired of keeping things from him. She was tired of running and being found. Tired of ha
Leon looked around wildly. He knew they were going to come for him. He wasn't going to allow that. Immediately, he turned to Lillith. "Run to the carriage!" She shook her head. "I won't! You aren't going to make me come with you!" She grabbed a dagger from one of the men and brought it to her neck. Leon and Lucien stopped immediately. "If this doesn't end right now, I will kill myself and my son! Isn't it enough?" Leon shook his head. "I can't let you do that, Lillith. I can't." "But you will watch me do it if you both don't stop!" She screamed. Tears began to pour out of her eyes. Within a second, he took the dagger from her hand and held it behind him. He placed a hand on her shoulders. "Please. Just go back to the carriage. I won't harm him." She stared at him for a while. He sounded really genuine. There was no way she could turn him down after he had been this sincere to her. She had never seen him beg her like this. Nodding, she began
The ride back to Red Lily was a long one and they got back late at night. The palace gates were wide open and as soon as his guards recognised the carriages, they informed the others and soon, they all waited as the carriages ran in through the gates. Lillith was helped down by one of the coachmen and just then, Henry woke up. His cries rented the air as he felt a change in the air he was used to. Lillith rocked him from side to side, trying to soothe him from crying but that didn't seem to make anything better. It was dark and the palace was lit up by pale white lights that somehow made it possible for her to see through the dark. Getting used to this place was going to be a task for her as she was reminded of the terrible things she had experienced here before Lucien came to save her. Looking back at the gates, she already knew this was going to be her last time escaping. Leon was a smart man so she was sure he would put a lot of guards around her room.
