I tried holding myself back from yelling at him for not seeing or even noticing how cruel his best friend had been to his mate.

“Do you have some minutes of your time to spare?” I asked hoping he wouldn't decline my request in wanting to talk to him.

“I need to talk to you!!” I said trying so hard not to sound too harsh.

“She's going to be fine Kathy!!” he said, cutting me off like he wasn't in for any talk concerning what had happened earlier.
