I had my hand to Mia's mouth, the minute I heard the voice somewhere close by.

“Come!!” I whispered into her ears, as I had her pulled backwards.

I could sense we are in danger and hard fallen prey in the hands of the bad wolves.

I held on to Mia so tight that I could feel the beat of her heart from just holding on to her hand.

“You good?”! I asked hoping she wasn't getting too frightened by what was happening.

And then she gave a nod.

“Come along now” I said as we crawled through the heap of dirt trying to escape from them.

I paused trying to locate the nearest escape route, but apparently the only route out were the exact spots these wolves were.

At this point, I needed a distraction.

I stared down at the girl in my hand wondering how on earth it was going to be possible for me to shift in front of her without her being scared.
