CHAPTER 31

"Ma'am Yongsann, right?" the male nurse attending to Grantt inquired.

"Yes, how's Grantt?" I replied promptly, standing up. I had been waiting outside their clinic for a few minutes.

"Sir Grantt will be fine. His fever was high earlier, but it's subsiding now. He just needs some rest because he's also overfatigued, and does he have anxiety?"

His last question caught me off guard because I had no idea what the answer was. I hardly knew anything about Grantt, especially in recent times. However, it wasn't impossible given his job and the recent events between us.

"Just make sure he doesn't get too stressed. Dealing with anxiety isn't a joke. He may have suicidal thoughts. You can go in now."

I took a deep breath before entering. Slowly, I drew back the curtain and found Grantt lost in slumber.

While he was still asleep, I examined the bruise on his thigh that I had noticed earlier. I shook my head as I scrutinized the injury up close.

What is he doing with his life? He's like a child.
