"Asher, let me go," I said within my breath as he pushed open the door, shoved me inside, and slammed the door shut.

He released my wrist and faced me, his eyes darkened with fury and bemusement.

I tend to my hurting wrist, facing him with an equally angry look.

"For how long has this been going on?" He asked.

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't play dumb with me, woman. You know exactly what I'm talking about!" He deadpanned. I was certain that if there was a table nearby, he would have broken it into two with his clenched fist.
