Sixty-One

Sally's POV

He sighed. "For us, this is like the pH indicator in chemistry, to test whether a liquid is acidic or alkaline. Instead, the blue thing you call is to test the blood to see if it is poisonous or pure." He stopped for a moment. "What happened just now shows that your blood was poisoned. It seems that you have digested quite a few potions made by a witch."

My eyes narrowed quizzically, I couldn't decipher whether he was just messing with me again or if he was just stupid that way.

“That sounds like absolute nonsense,” I said.

He groaned in frustration. "No, it's not." He sighed. "If you believed I was a werewolf when we first met, what makes this different?"

"Listen, just because werewolves like you exist among us, that doesn't mean a bunch of witches exist too."

He sighed tiredly. “You're right, I can't prove you anything.” He looked defeated as he sat in the chair behind his desk. "You can go now."

I frowned. "You're crazy," I say. Slammed the door as I walked out.
