Ninety-Two

Sally's POV

The girl seemed surprised by the answer. "Where were you before that?"

"I'm still in New York. Why?" I said, now curious.

She seemed to be deep in thought and suddenly stopped to look at me. “You sure as hell weren't here three months ago.” The voice was full of doubt.

"Ah... I was in France for a year, moved to the United States after that for two years, and came back here last month." I answered nonchalantly, skipping the part that I had been kidnapped four months ago.

The girl shook her head in confusion. "No, I mean, how can these wolves pick up your scent or see you when you're not even here?"

A frown came in front of me. "What are you saying?"

Athena shook her head again, this time sighing. "It's just that we've been looking for you, both in France and here if luck is on our side. And then three months ago, a few of Ryan's men caught your scent on the Northern border, they even said they saw you. But, that was the last we heard from you."
