Cameron POV:
"I may just have found a solution to our worries, brother," I said, smiling.
Samuel looked at me with raised eyebrows.
Oh, big brother, I know you're going to like this.
"Have you finalized a warrior instructor for the academy yet?" I asked, to which I earned a shake of his head, indicating a no.
Perfect!
"Since everything has been shit these past few days, why don't we go fill in for the semester..." Sam opened his mouth, probably to remind me about how we would be leaving our duties behind, but I held up a finger promoting him to let me continue, "... like I was saying we should fill in. All our royal engagements are caught up, and helping the academy is part of social work. Plus, don't we need new warriors for the new ranks in our army? Why not choose them first hand?" I said.
I could see the wheel turning in his head. As much as he thought he rebelled in front of our parents and his duties, he was the far better royal among us. It probably came with being the eldest amongst us both; compared to me and our little sister Alana, so much more was expected of him. I felt bad for him, and with the nagging nowadays from the court and our parents, hell, even our past escapades seeking us out again in the hope of becoming our chosen mate has been getting to him. Also, another bad part about being the eldest, he was everyone's target. If he chooses a mate, despite if I don't, that she-wolf would automatically be consort to him when ascending the throne, while my chosen mate would still be crowned a princess despite me being a king. Royal politics were fucked! As much as it had its luxuries at the time, I knew he wished for a simpler life. Hell, I even did at times. And with the days going by without our mate by our side, it was getting harder; no doubt our beasts were becoming hard to control. They craved for their half just like we did.
Looking back at Sam's hesitant posture, I said.
"Come on, dude. I need a break; hell, you need one too. With what happened yesterday, mom won't let it go, and once the court knows the full extent, they'll be up to our asses as well. Anyway, It's Alana's first year at the academy as well; we can also help settle her in." I said, throwing in our little sister for backup.
Sam and I were protective of Alana; she had always been sheltered, home-schooled, and hardly went out after a few she-wolves tried being friends with her in hopes of getting close to us. After that incident, she hardly went out again.
From the looks of it, gears were turning in Sam's head.
Home run just hit! I internally patted myself on the back.
Another factor about going to the academy was probably to hook up with some willing she-wolves. We hardly condoodled in the castle or the pack; we didn't want our reputation going down the gutter. No doubt we wanted our mate, but that didn't mean we couldn't have a little fun while we waited. Plus, all those she-wolves knew they weren't our mate, and it was famous around the kingdom that we wouldn't take a chosen and would only make our fated mate our queen. However, that didn't stop the she-wolves from still trying though; as much as it was annoying, it came with the package whenever a she-wolf was on our arm.
"I guess. We do need new recruits, and Alana does have a hard time adjusting to new environments. I'll talk to dad. I have a meeting with him, anyway, regarding the selection which you are supposed to be at as well might I add", Said Sam, looking at me with a raised brow.
Yeah, no, thank you. After what happened last night in their room, my wolf still hasn't calmed down. I didn't need to go there and blow a fuse if he denied us teaching at the academy.
"Dude, I have this thing with Alana. How about you go?" I said, trying to get out of the meeting.
Sam raised his eyebrows, calling my bluff. That's the bad part about being identical twins; we were one alpha in two bodies. That weird thing that humans claimed as twin telepathy was definitely real. Sam could always tell when I was actually doing something or lying, as I could him.
"Yeah, not like Alana is out at her luna classes." Said Sam.
Yup, he totally called my bluff.
I sighed.
"Bro, my wolf is still pissed about yesterday's thing. I don't wanna get pissed off if dad says something. So please do a brother a solid and go yourself." I said, giving him my best smile.
He just chuckled, shaking his head. This is why I loved my brother. He always knew when to push for something and when to drop it. He gave me a fist bump and went out the door to talk to dad. And I went to go find Alana. She was in her luna classes; being a royal, we already knew she'd be fated to an alpha, so mom and dad had already started her luna classes in advance to prepare. After all, she was the sole princess of the Wolf Kingdom; expectations were set for her, which, in my opinion, was a load of bullshit. She was forced to become an adult at seventeen; we were to, but we had responsibilities. We were to be kings, but Alana didn't have that responsibility. Mine and Sam's hearts went out for her; even our parents did as much, even though they had put her in those luna classes, the court required it, so there wasn't much they could do about it. Being a royal had its price, and it took its payment in the form of compromises in our lives.
Rounding the corridor, I went down the staircase to the second floor, to the training room, where I saw Alana with Ms. Smith in ethics and pack law class. And judging by her fluttering eyelids, she'd pass out any moment now from boredom. I couldn't help the laugh that left my lips when I saw her. Which caught her and Ms. Smith's attention; Alana looked at me as if I were her saviour, her eyes pleading to get her out of this.
I chuckled under my breath and put on my stoic royal face, which we had been taught at a young age, I walked toward the two figures. According to dad, we always had to remain emotionless, even if a storm was raging inside or if a freaking monkey was tickling our asses; we couldn't let our emotions be seen. It was the only way to ensure that our subjects never got the wrong impression and tried to overstep their boundaries.
"Ms. Smith, you're dismissed for the day. Princess Alana is needed for some official matters. Thank you for your time." I said emotionlessly.
Nodding her head and bowing to her prince and princess, she left. The moment she stepped out the door and closed it behind her, I was tackled, catching me off guard and causing me to take a few steps backwards before I could fall I gained my footing and hugged the little monster.
"This is why you're my favourite." Said Alana
"I swear you said the same thing to Sam the other day when he got you those new canvases for your artwork," I said, raising my eyebrow at her.
The little one knew how to sweet talk.
"Hey, my favourite depends on the date and time. Now, what's up? I know you aren't that nice to take dad's bashing for making me miss class, so shoot what is it? Everything is okay" said Avana, looking tense.
The little monster was a smart one, no doubt. The last time Sam and I pulled her out of class, we got our asses handed to us by our parents. Even though we were future fucking kings, we weren't kings yet and could still be put in our place by our parents. Another reason our beasts would get pissed off, they were dominant creatures, born to rule, not to be commanded.
"Can't I want to spend time with my little sister? You hurt me, princess." I said as I put my hand on my heart, feigning pain.
Alana just rolled her eyes and pushed me. Chuckling, I dropped my arm around her shoulder and led her out. Us siblings hardly had time to be carefree with our emotions, so we took advantage of these little moments the best we could.
"Something is bothering you. What is it, Cam?" Said Avana
Just like Sam, Avana was the other person who could tell when something was wrong. Sighing, I stopped and sat on one of the sofas in the corridor, running my hand through my hair and then looking up.
"I don't know, A, I really don't. It's been seven years, and we've yet to find her. The court and our parents are going crazy, making us crazy. Is it so bad not wanting to take a chosen mate and wait for our fated? Mom and dad are fated mates. Don't they want that for us?" I said.
I felt Alana sit next to me and hug me.
"They do want that, Sam. Trust me, they do. All I hear in mom's prayers to the goddess is for you to both find your mate. They're just worried about how you two have become over the years. The violence and the rotation of she-wolves worries them. They're old and tried Cam; they'll be turning two hundred fifty this year. They want to retire." Said Alana.
I knew she was right. We had indeed become more violent, and yesterday's display in the coliseum was just proving the fact. As much as we tried to hide our personal affairs with the she-wolves, Sam and I knew our parents weren't stupid. People talked, and even if our parents never explicitly said anything, it didn't mean they didn't know what their sons were doing in their spare time.
"What are you doing out here, you both?" I heard Sam say from a distance.
Looking up, I saw him come down the hall towards us, a smile on his face. Reaching us, he looked at Alana, raising his eyebrows, asking her why she was out of class. The little devil just shrugged and pointed at me.
The little betrayer!
"You know your gonna get your ass handed to you when mom finds out, right?" Said Sam.
"Hopefully, with that smile on your face, that means I can Ali baba my way outta here before she gets to know," I said, laughing at my stupid joke.
Both Alana and Sam chuckled. I guess I was funny, after all.
"Saved brother. Dad gave us the green light." Said Sam, smiling.
"Greenlight for what?" Said Alana, looking between us.
Oh, little sister, guess you'll be stuck with us a little longer than expected.
Lyla POV: Looking at the mahogany doors of the castle, it was considered an honour to attend Maxwell Academy, but I felt nothing but resentment. This was supposed to be my home till I turned eighteen, who knows maybe longer if Jax and my brothers thought so. Despite my pleas and promises to be better, my brothers nor Jax relented, and here we are, two days later, at the infamous Maxwell Academy, waiting for the Principal to come out and show us around. All my brothers and Jax had accompanied me to the Wolf multiverse, much to my dismay. Since they were getting rid of me, why accompany me? Throughout the trip, they tried talking to me. Jax even tried sitting next to me, but I didn't give any of them the time of day. I was hurt; I had to leave mom and dad behind, my memories behind that had kept me going when I had no one else. "Alpha Lars, Alpha Jax, welcome to Maxwell Academy. I'm Dean Shrewd." Said the man who introduced himself as the Dean. He was tall. A middle-aged man with bro
Lyla POV: As I walked down the extensive corridors with my roommate Alana towards the welcome party, I couldn't help but admire my surroundings. No doubt this place was amazing. As much I dreaded being left here, some of those feelings had dissolved after meeting Alana. Alana and I had hit it off as soon as I walked through my dorm's door. You could sense the happy vibes coming out of her, which were contagious. She was a ball of energy, and I knew she wasn't the type to fake it. With her blonde hair up to her shoulders, with the bluest eyes I had seen, she was the epitome of gorgeousness—a body that I could kill for: fit and slim. I could tell she was nervous about being here. She was in the same grade as me, and her family had wanted her to finish her last year at the academy, since it was a tradition in their family to graduate from Maxwell Academy. Apparently, her two older brothers and her parents and their parents before that had graduated from here as well. Alana had mentione
Lyla POV:Fuck! Warrior training just got way more complicated. They couldn't be the trainers, mhmm, no-way hoezay, it was hard enough to control myself from dampening my panties and seeing them training us, and that too, probably shirtless, would have my ovaries on fire. How the hell would I learn anything if I had to focus on controlling my damn pussy from leaking like a fire hydrant the whole god-damn time? I hadn't realized I was lost in my thoughts until Jax nudged me, making me look at him. He nudged his head towards the prince; confused, I looked in the direction he indicated and saw one of the prince's outstretched hands for a handshake. Fuck! I totally missed that. Quickly taking his large calloused hand in my mine and shaking it. The moment our hands touched, I swear I could've felt a zap, but it was like a nanosecond. I probably had imagined it. Shaking hands with the other prince, I felt the same zap. What the hell?Quickly shaking and letting go, I backed up a few step
Lyla POV: Unconsciously, I looked towards the twins and saw their rage-filled eyes on Jax. Alana cut them off as soon as the twins opened their mouths to say something. "Oh, you're not eighteen yet, though. What if you find your mate once you turn eighteen, since you'll still be at the academy at the time." She said. Jax and I both stilled. We had never had this conversation before; it was kind of an unsaid thought. I had always wanted to be with him, and everyone knew, so the perception of me rejecting my mate was already like an unsaid commitment. However, the thought of rejecting the other half of my soul was becoming gut-wrenching as time passed and I got closer to my birthday, but I didn't tell anyone that. I didn't have it in me to tell Jax this. With how much love and support he has shown me, and even if my brothers and I had drifted apart over the years, I still didn't want them to be disappointed in me. I knew they wouldn't be if I told them. Still, the guilt of straining
Lyla POV: It had been five minutes since the twins had left me here baffled in front of the VIP dorm entrance. What the fuck had just happened, and why did that happen? Was it just me, or did both the princes, our to-be kings, just kiss me, and why didn't I say anything to them when they pulled back? And, the weirdest thing was their kisses had given me these strange, funny feelings in my stomach. Was it because of the kisses or the power that oozed off them? She-wolves were attracted to male wolves of power. It was a drug to she-wolves, like their own personal stash of heroin. So was it that or the fact I actually liked myself being kissed by them? It was probably the latter. I was a growing she-wolf that would fully be matured into a wolf in a month, so the power was just attracting me, plus I had Jax. I couldn't like the twins. Jax was to be my mate in a month, and I shouldn't be getting these weird tummy jumps because of other male wolves' kisses, no matter how drop dead gorgeous
Lyla POV: Who could that be so late at night? It was almost one in the morning! It was supposed to be lights out by eleven. However, with us staying in the VIP dorms, that rule didn't apply, unlike the regular dorms, but we didn't know anyone else from these dorms, so who was it? Alana got up to go open the door while I stood behind and turned in her direction to see who it was, but when she opened the door, I wished I had decided to go to bed instead of watching a movie with her. There at the door stood Alana's brothers, aka the twin princes, in nothing but a pair of basketball shorts and a casual shirt. My eyes betrayed me and caused me to gawk at them from head to toe. Goddess! Was she on fucking crack when she made these two adonis's because my, oh my, I could jump them right now. Realizing what I was thinking, I quickly cleared my thoughts, so my vagina didn't decide to act up again and scent the whole damn room of my arousal. I didn't even have other she-wolves around to blam
Cameron POV:We had found her, our salvation, our mate, our to-be luna queen. We had finally fucking found her. Samuel and I couldn't have been happier, that was, until we found out how our beloved mate was promised to another. That fucking alpha: Jax. How dare he think he could mate with our beautiful Lyla. Lyla! Just saying her name sent jolts of pure ecstasy through my whole body. She was perfect, long strawberry blonde hair, huge breasts, with a thick and juicy ass that was just calling for me to spank red and curves that could have any wolf salivating, which they were. Throughout the party, we kept an eye on our beautiful mate and saw how male wolves were eye-rapping her, some discreetly while others gawked openly. Plus, that little purple tube dress that reached mid-thigh with those killer heels wasn't helping in our favour to get the attention of those beautiful long milky-white legs that I imagined to be wrapped around my waist as I fucked her to oblivion while Samuel fucked
Samuel POV: I was seething from inside, and I was sure Cameron sailed the same boat. Our little firecracker just had to go and emphasize that fucking alpha's and her relationship. How dare she?But at the same time, I knew it wasn't her fault, she didn't know she was ours, but still, the rejection hit pretty hard. I had no clue what made her snap and be snarky all of a sudden. She was respectful until something flickered in her eyes when we offered her to come to us when she needed anything. What was going on in that mind of hers? With her attitude, the whole mission to woo her was going to be complicated. She didn't seem the type to submit easily, and with her being our mate, our command wouldn't even work on her either, not like we planned to use that on. That would be a whole new low for us. She was our mate, our equal, we would never command her on purpose. This whole thing needed precision and well-thought-out planning! Our eyes trailed over her legs and stayed on her swaying as
Cameron POV:The night air was alive with a magical pulse as I guided Lyla, her eyes covered by a soft blindfold, through the serenely lit path of our palace garden. Her hand, delicate yet trusting, was clasped in mine, while Samuel walked beside us, his presence a comforting shadow in the moonlit night."We're nearly there, my heart," I whispered to Lyla.Feeling her anticipation mingling with ours. The path under our feet shifted from the crunch of gravel to the softness of lush grass, signaling our arrival at the heart of our surprise."Can I look now?"Lyla's voice quivered with excitement, her other hand reaching out, perhaps feeling the change in the atmosphere, the music that floated around us like a tender caress."Just a moment longer," I replied. My heart pounding with a mixture of nerves and excitement. Samuel and I had planned this moment with painstaking care, wanting everything to be perfect for her. Guiding her to the center of the clearing, where the gazebo stood adorn
Cameron POV:It had been five months since the harrowing events in Vampriya, and life had settled into a new rhythm, one filled with love, passion, and the promise of a future we never thought possible.Every day with Lyla felt like a revelation. Our relationship had flourished beyond the raw intensity of those first encounters. Sure, we had our share of wild, erotic nights – moments where our passion for each other burned with an intensity that threatened to consume us. But there were also the playful mornings, the times when we basked in each other's company, reveling in the simple joy of being together.Lyla had grown remarkably in these past months, both in spirit and in her role as our future queen. She had decided to finish her schooling, opting for private lessons within the castle's grand walls. Her decision came from a desire to be close to us, to cement our bond and strengthen our union. And I couldn’t have been more proud of her. She was not just our mate but a true partner
Lyla POV:As the witch's blade hovered perilously close, a surreal calm washed over me. My heart pounded in my chest, my eyes fixated on Cameron and Samuel, their expressions a tapestry of worry and love. I silently mouthed, "I love you," expecting the sharp sting of betrayal. But instead, a shocking warmth enveloped me – blood, not mine, splashing against my skin.Confusion reigned as I saw Vincent standing defiantly, the witch's heart gruesomely clasped in his hand. He nonchalantly tossed it aside, his eyes locking with mine in a knowing wink. The ritual was broken, the air charged with a mix of disbelief and newfound hope.Noah's enraged voice shattered the moment."Vincent, you traitor!" he screamed, lunging at his brother with a viciousness that chilled my bones. The brothers collided with a force that resonated through the clearing. Their fight was a deadly dance of pent-up rage and familial betrayal. Vincent's every move was precise and calculated, countering Noah's blind fury
Lyla POV:Vincent's laughter echoed through the room, a sound filled with sinister undertones."Oh, brother, why do you insist on these little charades? Just be honest with her. There's no coronation. Instead, we have a lovely lineup of witches eager to drain every ounce of that precious eternal wolf essence from her," he said, his eyes flashing dangerously.Noah's face remained impassive, but there was a flicker of annoyance in his eyes."Vincent, I've got this under control," he said coolly.I glanced between the two brothers, my heart pounding in my chest. They were planning to kill me, to use me for my power. A surge of anger and determination rose within me. I wouldn't let them. Without warning, I shifted into my wolf form, the transformation enveloping me in a wave of power and strength. My grey fur, streaked with lavender, bristled with energy, and my lavender eyes blazed with defiance.Noah's expression turned to one of shock, then quickly morphed into rage."You think you can
Lyla POV:The air crackled with the intensity of magic, the night sky over Vampriya painted with the hues of battle. Our position at the vantage point offered a panoramic view of the chaos unfolding below. Alana, my brothers, the coven witches, and I were like sentinels, guarding against the tide of darkness that threatened to engulf us.The sounds of battle were deafening - the clashing of power, the hissing of spells, and the cries of the fallen filled the air. We stood our ground, our magic a beacon of light amidst the encroaching darkness. Each of us fought fiercely, our spells weaving intricate patterns of defense and attack.I could feel the raw energy coursing through me, the power of my eternal wolf stirring within, ready to leap into action. The witches beside me chanted their incantations, their voices rising and falling in a rhythmic cadence that was both haunting and beautiful. Their magic clashed with the dark witches, creating a storm of energy that crackled through the
Samuel POV:Stepping through the dense forest that borders Vampriya, the charged air crackles with tension. Cameron and I tread softly, our senses heightened. The dim moonlight filters through the trees, casting eerie shadows that dance on the forest floor."We need to be smart about this," I whisper to Cameron as we move closer to the outskirts of Vampriya. "No rash moves. We hit them hard and fast, but with precision."Cameron nods, his eyes scanning the darkness."Agreed. The element of surprise is on our side. Let's keep it that way."We huddle with our group of warriors, their faces a mix of determination and nerves. I can feel their energy, pulsing like a heartbeat in the night."Remember, our main goal is to distract and divide their forces," I instruct, my voice low but firm. "We need to create an opening for the main assault team to breach their defenses."One of the warriors, a burly man with a scar across his cheek, steps forward."We won't let you down, your highnesses. We
Lyla POV:As the dawn broke, casting a golden glow over the palace, I stood on the balcony, absorbing the quiet before the storm. Today was the day we would confront Noah, the day we had been preparing for. Anxiety bubbled inside me, but it was tempered by the resolve that came from the love and support of my mates, Cameron and Samuel.Cameron's arms encircled me from behind, his warmth a comforting presence."You ready for this, my love?" he asked, his breath tickling my ear.I leaned into him, feeling the solid strength of his body."As ready as I'll ever be," I replied, trying to sound more confident than I felt.Samuel joined us, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and determination."We're in this together," he reassured, taking my hand. "Always."Their reassurance fortified me. We were a team, unbreakable in our unity. I turned to face them, taking a moment to appreciate the bond we shared, strengthened in the face of adversity. We headed to the war room where Alana, my br
Lyla POV:The quiet of the early morning was a stark contrast to the whirlwind of emotions that had engulfed me the previous night. Sitting by the window, I watched the first light of dawn filter through the leaves, casting dancing shadows on the floor. The warmth of the sun seemed to reach deep within, soothing the turmoil of my thoughts.I was still wrapped in the blanket Cameron and Samuel had tucked me in with, their scent lingering on the fabric, offering a silent comfort. The memories of last night, the intense kisses, the affirmations of love, and the heartfelt conversation with my brothers, all swirled in my head, a mix of joy and poignancy.Lost in thought, I didn’t hear the door open. It was Alana, her bright smile instantly lifting my mood.“Hey there, babe,” she greeted cheerfully. “You seem deep in thought. Everything okay?”I returned her smile“Just reflecting on everything. It's been... overwhelming,” I admitted.Alana sat beside me.“It’s a lot to take in. But you’re
Lyla POV:I woke up to the first light of dawn filtering through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the grand room. Memories of the night before, entwined with Cameron and Samuel, flooded my mind, sending a warm flush through me. The intensity, the love, the unspoken promises we shared – it all felt like a beautiful dream. But as I stretched languidly, the other side of the bed was cold, empty. A twinge of disappointment nudged at me. Where could they be so early in the morning?Just then, the door opened, and both Cameron and Samuel walked in, their presence filling the room with an electrifying energy. My heart skipped a beat as they approached the bed, each wearing an expression that was a mix of tenderness and something more serious, more intense.Cameron leaned in first, his lips meeting mine in a kiss that was both gentle and demanding. The familiar scent of cedarwood and pine engulfed me, grounding me in the moment. His kiss was a reminder of the passion we shared, a prom
