Chapter Two

As soon as he collapsed,Ivy was in panic but she had to do what she wanted to do before she got caught.

She wore her robe and climbed on the bed where he laid.she stared at him,he was really handsome,his lashes were long and beautiful like that of a woman's.she had never seen a man so handsome but she didn't have time to admire him because she had something to do.

She dipped her hand in his trousers and took out his wallet.She saw his identity card but she didn't care to go through it,the thing that caught her attention was the bundles of dollar notes in his wallet.She took it immediately and put it in her purse.

She searched him but found nothing anymore,she tried to leave but came back at a second thought.

To her,he was rich and he wouldn't mind her taking some of his belongings.she took his watch and necklace.she also removed his sim card and took his phone too.she would surely get a lot of money when she sells it.

She took a paper and scribbled something on it,she didn't forget to untie him before leaving the room.

IVY'S POV.

My name is Ivy Parker,I am the only child of my father who is very sick.his sickness started after during my graduation.since then I have been the one catering for our needs and buying his medicine.I did different jobs for our upkeep since I couldn't get a decent job after my graduation.

I love my father so much and I wouldn't let any harm to befall him.he has been the one catering for my needs since I was a child.i didn't know who my mother was, according to him,my mother died when giving birth to me.my father never gave up on me and I wouldn't give up on him too.he was the only family I had.

TWO DAYS AGO.

IVY'S POV.

"Ma'am,I am done with the delivery"I said to my madam.

"Okay,this is your pay"she said to me as she handed $100 to me.

"Thank you ma'am"I said to her.

"Make sure you come to work early tonight,we will have a lot of deliveries to do this night,"she said to me.

"Okay ma'am"I said to her as I left.

I counted the money I have earned today,it was a total of $500.I sighed,I needed to find more jobs.today was really hectic for me.

I hopped on my motorcycle and drove to the pharmacist shop and bought some drugs for my father before going home.as soon as I reached home,it started raining heavily.

I ran into our apartment,I removed my shoes and walked in.

"Dad"I called as I entered the living room but I didn't hear any reply from him.

"Dad"I called again but heard nothing.

I walked to his room but I didn't see him.I checked the kitchen,he wasn't there too.my heart beat increased in it's pace.i decided to check the bathroom,I saw him lying lifeless on the bathroom floor.

"Dad"I called him but I got no reply from him.

Tears rolled down my cheeks,I needed to rush him to the hospital but it was raining.i took my phone and dialed my friend's number.his name was Richard.

"Richard, please ,I need your help,my dad ,my dad…….."I stammered,tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Calm down Ivy,I will be there as soon as possible"he said to me and the call ended.

I hugged my father's body as tears escaped my eyes.

"Dad please don't do this to me, don't leave me,you are the only one I have"I said to him in tears Hoping that he would wake up but he didn't.

Few minutes later,the doorbell rang and I ran to the door immediately and opened it on seeing that it was Richard through the opening.

I hugged him immediately I saw him and he hugged me back rubbing my back.

"Richard,I don't know what to do if I lose my father,I can't bear it,I won't take it"I said to him,tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Listen to me Ivy, nothing will happen to your father,I am here now,let's take him to the hospital before it's too late"he said to me before breaking the hug.

He carried my father to his car immediately and I followed suite.he drove to the nearest hospital.

"I will pay the bills"he said to me before leaving to go and clear the bills.

The doctor summoned me to his office and I went in immediately.

"Doctor, please,is my dad okay now?"I asked him.

"Calm down miss,your father is okay now"he replied to me and tears rolled down my cheeks.it was tears of joy.i was so happy that my dad was alright.i don't know what to do without him in my life.i was really glad that he was okay.

"But he is just okay for the meantime"the doctor said to me and I could feel my heartbeat.

"What do you mean by that?"I asked the doctor.I knew that whatever it was,it was not good news.

"Your father has kidney failure and he needs a transplant as soon as possible before it's too late"he said to me and I could feel my world crumbling.

"Too late…what do you mean?"I asked the doctor although I knew that I might sound stupid now but I just wanted to have hope that it's not what I am thinking.

"Your father will die if he doesn't get this transplant as soon as possible"the doctor said to me.tears rolled down my cheeks.my greatest fear.

"How much for the transplant?"I asked him and he scribbled something down on a piece of paper and handed it over to me.

"You just have to pay the bills,your father will be admitted here till the day of the surgery,I have other patients to attend to,excuse me"he said to me leaving the office and I followed suit.

I was left alone,I looked at the paper,I was shocked with the amount I saw.I closed my mouth with my palm to prevent me from shouting.

FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND US DOLLARS.

How am I possibly going to get such a huge amount of money? Even if I worked hard till next two years,I wouldn't be able to gather such a huge amount of money.

I dried my tears with my handkerchief,I will do anything to save my father.i wouldn't allow him to die just like that.i promised him that he would see his grandchildren and I would keep that promise.i haven't even achieved anything yet in life talkless of getting married.i won't allow him to die.he must get that transplant.i was determined.

I saw Richard walking up to me with a receipt in his hand.

"I have paid the bills,"he said to me.

"Thank you so much,I don't know what I would have done without you"I said to him.

"What did the doctor say?"he asked me.

"Umm,he said that my dad is okay and he will be discharged after a few days"I lied to him.

"Okay,that's great,I told you that nothing will happen to your dad"he said to me.

"I am so happy,"I said to him.

I lied to Richard Because I didn't want to bother him with my problems.he was my friend since our days in school and he has done a lot for me.I knew him well,if I told him about the transplant,he would do anything to raise the money.

We visited my dad who was still asleep before he drove me back home.as soon as I got to my room.I took out my laptop and searched for good paying jobs.I didn't want a job that paid monthly because time was not on my side.I just had a few days to get the money.

An idea popped into my mind, stripping wouldn't be so bad.I heard from my friends that stripping pays well.

I searched for the club that rich men came to and I found it.

"Super Pacific club"

I smiled. The next thing was how to apply to be a stripper there.I can get a huge amount of money there if I met a rich man.

I remembered one of my friends telling me that she worked in Super Pacific club as a stripper and she told me that she earned so much there.

I decided to ask her for help and she gave me permission to take her place.thats how I got into the club.I was a beautiful lady and I knew it, catching the attention of men wouldn't be a problem to me.

PRESENT TIME

I didn't like how I robbed that man but I had no other option.I had to save my dad.this was the only option I had.

Leon opened his eyes slowly,the first thing he saw was the ceiling.he wondered where he was.he got up from the bed,his head ached.he held his head and walked towards the window opening the curtains and the sun poured through the window, another day had dawned.

His eyebrows furrowed and he looked around and he realized that he was in the club room.thats when everything that happened the other day rushed into his mind.

The stripper had drugged him but the question was …why was he still in the room? wasn't she supposed to take him to the people that sent her to kill him? wasn't she supposed to kill him before now?What were her real intentions for drugging him?

He dipped his hand into his trouser to bring his phone but he didn't see his phone,he only saw his sim card.he checked his wallet but didn't see his money again.he didn't see his watch again.that's when he realized that the stripper had robbed him.

"That woman is a bitch"he said through gritted teeth.

That watch was his favorite,he didn't joke with it,it was worth six hundred thousand US dollars.

He saw a note on the table,he took it and saw what was written in it.it read thus;

"I am sorry Mr handsome but I really had to do this,I really need the money so badly,I know you are worth more than this,it's not really a big deal if you lend me some of your money,thank you,I hope you forgive me,I wish you well".

"Damn you woman, fuck you,you are a bitch, just pray that we don't meet each other again"he said through gritted teeth as he threw the paper away.

It also dawned on him that he had missed the meeting,it was a very important meeting for him,it was a deal worth millions of dollars but this stripper had taken it away from him.he hit his hands angrily on the wall.

He took the telephone and called the manager of the club and the man came running immediately.

"What kind of people do you allow to work here?"he asked Mr Ben who was shivering like a scared kitten.

"What happened boss?"Mr Ben asked.

"I was robbed in my own club by a stripper that was under your management. Not only that,I even lost a deal worth millions of dollars because of that tramp,"Leon said to Mr Ben in a cold voice.

"I am sorry boss,I promise to find her and bring her to you"Mr Ben said to Leon but Leon would not hear of it.he was very angry and he wanted to vent his anger on someone.Mr Ben would surely be the scapegoat.

"No need for that Mr Ben,you are incompetent and I don't allow such people to work for me,I just came to this country to know how things are going here but this happens"

"I am sorry boss"Mr Ben apologized.

"You are fired,"Leon said to him.

"Please sir,I beg you,I….."he tried to speak but Leon cut him off.

"Don't allow me to make it worse for you,you should be glad that you were only fired"Leon said to him and Mr Ben became quiet immediately.

He knew Leon very well and he knew there was no point in trying to beg,he could make his life miserable by just a single phone call.

"I am sorry sir"Mr Ben apologized before leaving.

Leon walked back to the room,he took the telephone and dialed Dave's number.

"Hello sir"Dave said from the other end.

"Come pick me up in Super Pacific club"Leon said to him and the call ended.

Few minutes later,the telephone rang and Leon picked it up.

"Am here boss"Dave said to him and the call ended.

Leon walked to where the car was packed.

"Good morning boss,"Dave greeted.

"What's good about the morning?"Leon asked him but Dave didn't respond,his gaze dropped to the floor.

Leon ignored him and entered the car and they drove off.
