Chapter Twenty

"Thank you, it's all thanks to you,you don't look bad either,you look different from the lady I met that day but you shouldn't have bothered,it was really unnecessary"I said to her.

"I only did it to appreciate you for what you did for me that day"she replied.

"But these clothes must be so expensive,I feel uncomfortable,"I added.

"It's nothing to me, please stop saying all this and make yourself comfortable at the party"she said to me.

"Okay ma'am but I promise to return the dress after the party"I said to her.

"Make yourself feel comfortable,I will talk to you later"she said to me before leaving.

I was left alone with no one to talk to,my eyes scanned everywhere and I could see that everyone was putting on designer clothes.

I would have been out of place if I wore my simple gown to the party.Madam Heather was right in changing clothes for me.

The waiter brought me a glass of wine and I sipped it slowly.
