*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*
---
"Josie, why do you have to leave me? Are you tired of my face? Am I growing so ugly? I would shave this beard right away if you want. Why do you have to resign? You can still renew even if how many hundred times. Just why?" I asked the woman in frustration as I can't accept this. I don't understand why she would leave without warning me that it would be this sudden.
And, the glorious human that I treat like my second mother, mentor, nanny, and counselor just laughed at me. She is so mean for doing this. So damn freaking mean.
"It's on my resignation letter, son. You haven't read it?" She answered apologetically and asked me as she crossed her legs while sitting on the adjacent couch to my left. And, my eyebrows just met in distress.
"I wouldn't read it. I want you to tell me. Are you sick of me being a big baby? Or am I that cold and strict towards the other employees here? I can change that. Just stay. And, also, we could discuss your wage. What is wrong with me? I could change that. Or... I would just change the way I---" I protested and asked her anything that could be wrong with me being in this position of this company, but she cut me off as her right hand tapped my left knee gently.
"Craig, there is nothing you need to change about you. Nothing is wrong with you. You do you, but there is just something that I need to take care of on the other side of this country. New York. To my daughter. She's about to give birth to three babies. Twins and another one baby. And... She needs my help badly as her mother. You know that she is gonna be a single mom, and it is gonna be hard for her. I'm all she has. And, I want you to understand and consider, son." She answered with her very convincing voice that she always uses whenever there is something that she wants me to approve, and it's effective as heck. I just don't know if what power does this woman possesses but she's the only one that I can be myself be. The old outrageous and cheerful Craig.
"Well... But... I... Uhh, umm..." I began but I can't compose anything, and I just sighed in defeat.
"Fine. But, it's gonna be so hard for me to find someone that could replace you in the space in my heart and this office, Josie. It's hard to find someone like you." I told her with my cutest pitiful puppy dog face that is surely effective in begging her for something.
Then, a brilliant idea suddenly popped up in my intelligent mind. Hmm, let's see if it will work.
"Don't worry, son. I know someone that---" She replied but I cut her off with my suggestion.
"Or! Or... What about we will find your daughter three nannies for the three babies and even her personal maid? I will be the one to compensate them. That's a bright idea, isn't it, Josie? That's it! And, you don't need to worry about her that much. And, you can stay here and renew the contract. What do you say?" I let out enthusiastically, and she chuckled while she just looks at me amusingly.
"That is so nice of you, son, but..." She replied, and I frowned when she mentioned the but. That's her impression. There's always a but in everything.
"But, a mother's care for her daughter is different. I bet that you know that. And... Maybe, if the babies will grow up, then, maybe I would apply back for this position. Well, you already have grown up like a real man. You have become better now. Like, how the way you face other people in here, your employees, the investors, and your business partners. It's amazing to witness you grow into the person that you are now. Just remember that I am proud of you, and your father, also. I know that he sees you amazingly, too, to where he is now. I know that he guides you with whatever you do. Plus... You are getting married five months from now. Maybe I could attend if I will be invited." She explained with her cheerful voice, and I just run my left fingers on my jet black hair. I know that I can't win.
"Yeah. Maybe I really should just approve it. But, hey, of course, you are invited to my wedding, Josie. Why not? First table. You should be here during that special day of my life. And, maybe if the babies can make it here, bring them all." I replied as I accepted my fate of being left out by people that are so important to me.
But at least she won't leave me permanently like my father. The most remarkable man that I have ever met. He is the reason that I am sitting in this position. And, I should be the one who should inherit all his hard work and not my cousin, Ethan Hudson. I am an Einar, so I bear the name, and grandpa should see my worth to replace my father. I'll do everything to show him that I deserve this title. But, I am about to lose someone that also guided me in my journey of being the Chief Executive Officer of this company for three years already. Josephine Gideon-Dallas. An amazing woman. The best employee until now since I am still a protege in this building. It is just so sad to think that she will be so far away from here.
"Thank you so much, Craig. And, don't worry, I have someone in mind that could replace me with this job. She is my niece, so... Maybe you could see me in her. She's amazing and a hard-working, obedient, resourceful, optimistic, and cheerful woman. I bet that she will do just the same as I did or maybe even better. She has lots of working experiences since she was still in high school and... She just graduated from her college with high honor. And... I know she would grab this job for experience. You could just fire her if you won't like her. But, she's good. The best that I have in mind, actually." She uttered as she tries to convince me and make me feel fine with her absence in here.
And, maybe it's about time to stand on my own and meet some other people being my assistant. I just hope that I can see this niece of hers like the way she does and not like how I see the previous secretaries that I just fired yesterday for their first week in here. I guess there would be a lot of adjustments to make for these new people.
"Okay... Umm, so... Who is this woman? Does she has... Will she apply here? Can I see her resume? Or even just a picture? Wait... when will you go, by the way? Is it really so sudden, Josie? Can we at least have a farewell party here? We should. Just tell your daughter to hold her babies in for a little while. Please?" I asked the woman a series of questions, and I begged her to make her leave not too soon. We need to hold a big party for her. That's a must and she cannot say no.
"Well, that would be this Friday night is my flight. So, you still have three days to plan for that party, son. Because I am so sure that I can not get out of here without that happening. And, also, I would inform my niece to make a resume, and I will give you the hard copy, tomorrow. But, maybe she could email it to you, tonight." She answered, and I nodded my head in response.
And, I took out my phone to make a call to my new secretaries to organize the program for Josie's farewell party. I hope that they know how to make one or else they will be fired on their first day.
---
And, after I instructed the woman on the other line, I turned my attention back to my signing off PA. I'm gonna miss her so badly. Her, and her words of wisdom and positivity. No one could replace her and no one is better than her. She is just simply the best.
"Alright, so... Umm, this niece of yours, who is it, Josie? Do you have a picture? Does she have social media accounts? And, I trust you that she can really do the job well. I'll try to adjust." I asked her curiously, and she chuckled as she brought out her phone from her purse on the couch beside her.
"Well, she really is qualified for the position. She could make your coffee just like what you like from the coffee shop. She was a cafe coffee maker for two years. And, she can do lots of things. She'll put it in her resume. Mhmm, and she's smart, no, wise. Yeah! And, here is her picture." She replied while she scanned for pictures in her phone, and she handed it to me to show me the woman's face. My new PA to be.
Then, as I have seen it clearly, my eyebrows met in wonder.
Where the hell did I see this face before? She looks familiar. Brown straight long hair, hmm, green eyes, nice pretty smile. Familiar. Very. And, I'm hella sure that she's not one of my exes since high school.
"What is wrong, Craig? Do you know her? Have you met before?" Josie asked me curiously as I kept studying the person's features, while I try to recall real hard.
"Umm, nothing... I just... She looks familiar. I think I have seen her before. How old is she?" I replied and asked her curiously that made her giggle before she spoke.
"Well, her name is Mia Taylen Gideon. She's three years younger than you. Twenty-five. Not yet married. And, maybe you really have seen her before. Because... She has worked in cafes and restaurants around here, the diner fronting the Pryce Winsley Academy, and the---" She answered, and I cut her off as I remember now. Damn! It's her. It's really her. I cannot be mistaken.
"Diner! Yeah, she's a diner waitress. I remember. Hmm, Mia Gideon. She's hired." I let out while smirking, and I accepted her application even before she can make one.
I just cannot believe that our paths will cross again.
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---"Sir, Mr. Einar, here is your coffee from the coffee shop. A hot one." I heard my PA's voice as I got my back on my table, while I'm reading some reports from the Sales and Marketing department. And, I turned my swivel chair to face my assistant for two days, and she pointed me my coffee while she looks like she's catching her breath. Well, I just made her purchase one, again, as the coffee that she got me first, earlier, was colder than my attitude towards everyone. I don't know if she's mad, annoyed, or irritated. I guess all, and that's the purpose."How am I supposed to know that you didn't put poison in it? Or
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---"Oh, no! Jassy, I have no other clothes! Girl, stop!" I yelled out while laughing as the precious creature that I have been bathing for the past ten minutes kept shaking off the water from her fur. It's just that the bossy boss has been including this on my job specs. And, it has been my favorite. Well, I have washed his gorgeous poodle five times already for the past three weeks of me in this building. She is the only one that is so nice to me in here. And, I think I'm in love. But, she's just second to Andrew."Hmm, now, I'm dripping wet. I have not brought any extra clothes today. Damn this water! Come on, girl,
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---"Mia, what are you gonna do with this mini electric chainsaw, solar panel shits, and other hardware materials? Where the hell on earth are you gonna go anyway?" Tesla asked me curiously while following me with Valerie pushing the cart that contains the things that I am going to purchase."Just don't ask, and push that thing, girls. You would just laugh at me if I'll tell you if what's in my mind. Don't worry, you'll be rewarded with free lunch for pushing that cart and not asking me things. Okay?" I answered as I read the label of the solar led lamp that is in my hold.I just need lots and lots of things for the cr
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---Jassy's bark echoed in the room as she saw another person, and the woman squealed as she hastily got off from my boss to end their make-out session on the couch when she saw me and the dog."What the hell is she doing here, Craig?" Sabrina asked angrily and suspiciously her fiancee who just cleared his throat as he stands up."Umm... She is picking up Jassy to take her to the sitter. That's all." He explained, and I feel very uncomfortable with the woman's sharp stare at me.Well, surprise! And, no, I didn't do anything wrong with her m
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---A soft laugh escaped my mouth as my annoyed assistant walked away to go to the kitchen with my dog. She is just so cranky.Well, I was a bit surprised when she has told me about her consequence if ever she could win with our deal. She wants to resign. Hmm. I wonder. But, I think I don't need to. Should I change the way I treat her here? Or should I... I should win. And, I can. Because Jassy will never get pregnant. It's a cute nickname, actually. But, poor Mia. You can't get away just like that, girl. Not if I say so.And, as I am waiting for the woman to be finished writing our contract, I snapped my head to the ele
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---"Deck 8, Cabin 26," Kelly uttered when we finally got aboard the cruise ship, and we are heading to the elevator for us to go down to our rooms. And, I snapped my head to her since I don't know if where did she get her cabin location already."How did you know if where your room is located?" I asked her curiously as we follow the four men who walk ahead of us, and she showed me the key in her hold with a deck and room number tagged with it."Where did you get that?" I asked her, and her eyebrows met while looking at me with her puzzled face. Girl, I should be the one to look at you like that. Why don't I have one of those? Where should I get mine?
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---"No fucking way!" My loud-mouthed brownie assistant exclaimed as she must have got it now after long seconds passed, and I just went to place my feet crossed on the glass table as I watch her being frustrated with her situation with me. Silly girl."Well, yes fucking way!" I countered with a victorious smirk painted on my face as I am enjoying this moment so much."Nope, nope, nope. No way, Mr. Einar. You go out and find yourself another room. Or I would be the one to. I'm not staying with you in a four-walled room." She retorted that just made me chuckle as she seems so mad about all this. Why would she be though?"Excuse me? I am your boss, Maia. And, if I say you stay here, you stay. You do what I say, rem
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---The camera shutter sounds were the only thing that I am hearing as I take pictures of the rose petals above the bubbles in the hot tub. Well, it's truly a magnificent view, and it's not every day that you'll get a chance to experience this kind of bath. Then, I took a picture of my hand trying to get a hold of one petal, and it's perfect. It's just that photography is my favorite hobby, and it's so satisfying to see wonderful sceneries. Also, you can never go back to times that passed, so it's a good thing that this thing was invented to keep the captured moments. And, as I am finally satisfied with the pictures that I have taken from the jacuzzi, the ocean view, inside the suite, and a few selfies, I decided to finally try the warm bubble bath. Damn, it

*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV* --- As I walked into the living room of the mansion, a bright smile quickly crept on my face when I got the sight of the person waiting for me. We are gonna go to work together. My new PA. Partner in All. "Mmm, nice hairstyle, Mr. Einar. Never seen you in that before. Your hairstylist seems to be really good." She remarked with a wide smile as she saw me, and I let out a soft laugh. "Yeah, I just... I just let her do what she wants. Well... It's time to make a few changes. But umm... Uh, never mind, yeah! Let's go?" I replied and asked her while walking closer to where she is, and she quickly went to walk to the door. I just want a kiss. Just one. Even just a quick one. Maybe she doesn't like my shark fin hairstyle? Hmm. It was my mother and the great Wa
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV* --- Seeing him again after a long time makes me the happiest, and I don't know where to put the joy that I feel right now. I never expected any of this at all. It's really him. It's my man. It's my Cray. Though he looked a bit different because of his long hair, he still looks the same to me. He looks great with his new hairstyle, and I never really thought that he would be growing it long as I told him to. I thought we would be the ones to surprise him the day after tomorrow, but it is us who were shocked so much because of his unannounced visit. And now, witnessing his conversation with Wayne makes me feel more than complete. It is indeed a very magnificent sight to see. I finally see the resemblance
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---While looking at the pretty little girl who was taken by the woman who has let me in this household from the arms of the girl who I used to call mine, I felt like I was dipped in the coldest bath while I felt so warm. I can't explain what I feel. I know it has been too long since we haven't heard anything from each other, and it's not impossible for her not to find a man who she loves and loves her back. Like, literally, every man who lays eyes on her would definitely fall. Who doesn't? She is everything that is amazing. He is certainly the luckiest person on Earth.I let out a heavy breath as I leaned down to pick up the thing on the couch. The thing that was the reason why I am here and have found her, unexpectedly. This belongs to her. After I got the
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV* --- "Mum, will Andoo be okay there at the hospital for the dogs?" The curious little girl asked while settling herself in our bed, and I tucked her in. She has just finished her before-bedtime routine which is brushing her teeth, slipping in her favorite pajamas, and saying good night to her fishes at the aquarium on the left side of my study table. "Yeah, he will be fine, Wayne. I think he would love to see you there. Wanna go with me tomorrow?" I answered and asked her, which made her face lighten up. And she cheered and asked, "Yes, Mum, of course! Is he gonna go home already? I missed him so much." "Yep, he can finally go home. Also, we should go to the pet shop to buy our goldfish some food. So... You better sleep now so you can go to Andrew early.
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---My jaw dropped in awe when the biggest creature in the whole wide world had just passed right before my eyes. It's a damn huge blue whale!"Now, that seems like a hundred times larger than our submarine, boss. Can you imagine if that thing would swallow our vehicle, sir? What do you think would happen?" Johan let out in amazement and asked me some absurd silly question."Johan, why don't you try to get closer to its mouth, then get inside it, and let's see what would happen? Hmm?" I answered him sarcastically, and he just laughed as he went to accelerate, then the idiot really did what he was told."What the fuck are you doing?" I cursed when I noticed that we were driving so close to the head of the hu
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV*---The sound of every stroke of the pencil touching the paper is the only thing that I could hear, and I do love the sound of it. It's almost silent. And it's my only escape from the busy yet lonely world here in the office whenever the dismissal time comes. After sketching a few more touches of my masterpiece of the week, I let out a sigh as my gaze turned to the area where the owner of the face that I have been sketching for the last hour, used to sit and wait for any order that I will tell her. And a smile crept on my face as I remembered those times when she sits there, facing her computer, and wearing her grumpy face whenever I let her do something twice or thrice again and again just to mess up with her.Oh, Maia, when can I finally see you agai
*Mia Taylen Gideon's POV*---A deep sigh escaped my lips as I stared at the mountains where the mighty sun is on its way to make some other places on Earth morning again. It's the ninth sunset that I am looking at all alone, and I feel so blue even if the scenery before me surely is wonderful. We used to stare and appreciate the beauty of nature together while in each others' hold. And I just missed him so much. That's it. Because whenever I can witness this view, all I think about is him. Well, honestly, it's always him who is on my mind every second and every minute that passes since the time that I left him. I just can't force my mind and heart to forget him, no matter how hard I try. And these pictures on my phone don't help at all."That's the two thousand seven hun
*Craig Wyatt Einar's POV* --- "Craig. Son, that's enough. It's too early in the morning to be drinking booze. You haven't even eaten breakfast. And, I am not so sure that you did sleep last night. I believe it is gonna be okay. Give me that bottle." The woman who gave birth to me told me as she has seen me drowning my miserable self in alcohol again. I just woke up from an hour of sleep from overthinking everything that I am going through. I don't even give a fuck about my aching head from drinking lots of spirits last night. I thought I could forget her if I get too drunk to be thinking about us, yet I even cried out while looking at all our pictures on my phone like a hundred times and staying in our mini-ship right outside the lawn. And, now, I am looking at our pictures again and again. I won't get tired of it. Yes, I am
