On a Friday evening, right after Rima's visit, Amol decided to take me on a date. He told me he was taking me somewhere I had never been before which was his newly opened restaurant. He even got me a dress of his choice. It was a black lace dress. The dress was knee-length with a side cut. It had a thin strap.

"You got me a dress?"

"Yes,"

"This dress?"

"Is there anything wrong with the dress?" he raised a brow.

I shook my head.

"Tell me," he whispered hugging me from behind.

"You got a really good taste," I replied.

"I won't let this go," Ratna screamed her lungs out. Now, I was standing at the top of the stairs directly looking at them. My legs stopped moving. I was confused about what she meant by a human. Maybe it was her way of mentioning me? "Don't you dare talk to me like that," he warned her. He went to sit on the couch. I could see his face. Ratna went near him. They were in a position where I could see both of their faces. "Just because you are prince doesn't mean you gonna do whatever you like," she said in a very angry tone. Prince? What was going on? The way they were using words was different. I mean how differently they were talking. I was so confused about hearing what they were talking about. The last time I remembered there was no prince in our country since I don't know how many years. "You will not tell me what to do and what not to," he snarled getting up and going near her, and what I saw just turned my life upside down. It felt like a dream. He had fangs and she showe

  • Stranger's Deal   Lost Everything

After like forever, I got up packed my bag, and got ready to leave. I was almost towards the door when something came to my mind. I left my bags near the door and went to the secret lab through the passage which I had found a few months ago. There I searched for a syringe and found one. I drew my blood using it and filled it in a tube. I was not aware if he had already taken my blood but I wanted this deal to be over forever. By doing this maybe it would end here. I didn't know if this blood would be enough for him cause I didn't even know why he needed my blood. I had heard Ratna say magic blood so I guessed this must be enough. I went back to the room, picked up my bag, and for the last time looked at it. Everything came at once. Our laugh, our fights, his teasing me, how I felt safe around him, and how in years I slept without waking up at night cause he was beside me. I gave him my everything, my body, my soul, and above all my heart which I had kept protecting from everyone else

5 months laterI was all ready to go to the airport. I called a cab and got inside it. I was going back to Nepal. I had made up my mind to spend the rest of my life in the USA but Prarthi was making it difficult for me. She didn't know I was in the USA without Amol. If she knew, I would be in a big problem. After I moved here Prarthi used to message me almost every day, asking me why have I stopped visiting the house. Yeah, house. It was never home to me cause home doesn't make you wanna run away. I just wanted to be away from that house, always. At first, I made excuses but later tired of her questions and her demand to do face time. I told her we had moved to the USA due to some business reasons. For a while, it was all good and I got to know that she was in contact with Amol. It was weird that he hadn't told her about us. Why hadn't he? I thought after I left he would be happy and marry Ratna. I mean, maybe he had already married her but why didn't he tell my sister that we were

While eating lunch, I thought about the person that I saw earlier. Was it Amol? I was still quite confused cause I always saw him in my dreams. For the past five months, he had been haunting me. My body was still in pain so I took some more pills. After taking a rest for like an hour, I took a shower. After that, I opened the window and the soft wind kissed me. The view was beautiful. I had really missed this place. I looked at the garden in awe. The person sitting in the garden caught my eye. It reminded me of the day when I saw Amol there on the bench. The person's back was facing me and he had long messy hair. Who was he? Was he one of the guards? But he didn't look like one. Somewhere I knew who that might be. I wanted to look at his face so slowly I went to the garden. I stood in the garden and stared at his back for a while. When he felt my presence he turned around. My heart fell a little at the sight of him. It was Amol. He was a total mess. He didn't look like an old Amol.

There wasn't a bar when I was here.I really needed a drink so I sat there drinking. I started drinking three months ago after I lost our baby. It was unbearable. I lost him then our baby. There was no one to hold me or to be there with me. I was all by myself. I thought I would die and tried to but every time I would stand to kill myself he would come in front of my eyes. The thought of seeing him again kept me alive. I loved him, I really did but he didn't and it hurt. After a couple of drinks, I went to the garden cause I started to feel suffocation. I shivered a little as I stepped my foot into the garden. It was cold outside. I stood there closing my eyes and suddenly I felt cloth on my body.I turned to find him and my heart started to beat faster. He still had so much effect on me that he could nearly bring me to my knees and I wouldn't be able to d

Continuous knocking on the door woke me up. I was alone in bed and obviously, I didn't like it."Didi, get up" I heard Prarthi's voice coming from outside.(Didi = big sister )I looked at the room and realized it was our room. He brought me here. But why? Then I realized, Of course, it's because of Prarthi. She had come here before our divorce so she would know which one was our room and me living in another room would make her ask questions."I will be out in a minute," I yelled and went to the bathroom. While taking a shower I half-remembered what happened yesterday. I told him about my pregnancy. He told me he didn't hate me. I came out and my things were already in the room. I guess last night he brought it here or maybe today. I went to my closet. There was a red floral wrap maxi dress hanging in front of me. Amol must have brought it for me. I wore it and looked in the mirror. I always avoided mirrors. In these past months, I don't remember looking in the mirror. My hair had

I woke up to find the other side of the bed empty. My head was banging so hard. I thought it was going to explode. I got up and opened a drawer and searched for pills but instead found our wedding picture. He still had it? I looked at the picture. Tears started to gather in my eyes. I slowly placed it back and something caught my eye. There were papers. Suddenly my heart dropped. It was the divorce papers. I slowly took it out and looked at it. I turned the pages and found that there weren't any of his signatures. Does it mean we were still married? why would he not sign it? Was he playing some kind of game? Ignoring my headache, I rushed to his office. He was working when I went inside and threw the papers on the desk, one hand still on my head. He slowly looked at me then,"Maya, you OK?" he was on my side in a second.I showed him my hand to stop."Stop calling me that," I said with anger in my voice. I was so angry."What the hell is that?" I pointed towards papers. He looked at m

Gurans asked looking around and I almost laughed looking at her face. I don't know why I wasn't angry. She always did this to me. Whenever she was with me no anger came to me. I was always calm and happy around her. I could not explain how happy I felt having her in front of me. The only thing that hurt was her not recognizing me or say refusing to recognize me."You can join us if you would like," the guy offered but I shook my head."Let me fill this bottle first," Gurans said walking towards the river and started to fill the water in the bottle. She came towards me drinking the water and then smiled at me."It tastes so good," she s

    * 15 months later *I was in my office when I heard a knock on the door. It had been almost five months since I somehow managed to control myself and the pain inside me. Twenty-four hours I would be in the office and make myself busy so I don't have to think of her and stop myself from feeling the pain of her leaving me. I looked at the door and it was Rima."Hello," she said and I turned my eyes back to my laptop."Let's eat breakfast together," she walked inside. It was her everyday routine, to wake up and come to annoy me by asking me to eat with her. Rima was now a vampire. She successfully turned again and was annoying like always. She sat on the chair but I ignored her."Come on, please," she almost begged but I acted like she wasn't there."Until when?" She questioned. I wanted to tell her until death came to me but it wasn't going to come cause I was a vampire. I wanted to refuse again but Rima asked me to take her in so I did. She was a very good cook. After we were done eating, we sat in the living room. "I know why you are here," I said to Zar before he could speak."The throne can't be left there without the king," Zar said."I know,""Then what are you waiting for?" he asked."I don't want to be the king...."
