Chapter 34: Chloe and the Stranger
After the appetizers at the car lot, Kendra and Chloe went to Screaming Brainfreeze. Chloe got Peach and Chong, and Kendra got Disco Lemonade. They sat in silence for a while and just enjoyed the drinks.
"So have you decided what you're going to do yet?" Kendra asked.
"No. But I'm on vacation for three more weeks. You're right, I need to live finally. I've been in a rut since I was fourteen. It's about time I got unstuck. I'm going to clean up a bit with the lawyer and stuff, then head to L.A. to Aunt Lane's."
"Yup." Kendra slurped away the last of her drink.
"Maybe I'll move to L.A. get far away from this shit hole. There's nothing left for me here anyway. Everyone's dead or gone."
"True. That'd be awesome if you moved out there, Babe. Finally, the paint twins back in business!"
