Chapter 3: The only answer...

“Are you going to accept my sponsorship and willing to be my prostitute?” He whispered to the woman.

Apart from the fact that the young man was sitting in front of Danica, his face was so close to hers make her mind blank that she didn't know if the words she heard here were correct.

"What do you mean?" She forced herself to calm down and quickly pushed the young man, “prostitute? What do you think of me, doing such a thing?”

“Pfft! Why? Why did you come here then asking knowing you are asking someone to be your sponsor? Not to ask for sponsorship from me and to save your name which is gradually being tarnished due to your issue of using drugs and selling bodies in exchange for good projects from those old geezers?” Its sarcasm.

A loud slap landed on the young man's cheek, Danica's brain was too tired to tolerate his words regarding the issue.

“You dare to slap me? Seriously, Danica do you think you still have the right to act like that? I will not be the one who lose something but you, you may forget that.” The man's face turned red with anger. "You came to me, not me who come to you, so I don't need to baby talk you just because you're on the edge of the abyss."

"I know that! I know I need help to clear my name but I don't need someone like you to insults me!”

“Hah! Then get out, get out in this room and never ever try to ask my help again. Even you crawl in front of me, I will never extend my hand to pull you up from the abyss.” Jiro replied, serious and firm.

The woman wasted no more saliva and time, she immediately left the room and continued to walk towards the elevator, she did not know how she would feel now.

Sadness, shame or anger because of the man. Sadness because the man treated her like that, reminded her how his voice was so calm and sweet when they were still together, shame because they met that this is the situation and she need to beg to another person or anger because she received such words from him.

She would accept if someone else treat her like that, but the man who once looked at her with a love, passion and care, who once protected her is now the one who insults her whole being.

But what is her right to complain, no matter who she is, maybe her relationship will change after what she did eight years ago before they separated. But isn't he too much with her just because she left without saying goodbye and left only one message on the phon?

She looked at the reflection of herself in the elevator and her eyes were almost fall out when she noticed that she was no longer wearing the mask, even if she wanted to hide herself, she did not know how because she was not carried anything even a handkerchief right now.

"Why are you so stupid, Danica." She cried and whispered to herself, even if chance really didn't agree with her, and even if she wanted to stop the elevator, it's not clear what will happen now.

Now, she feels nothing but the nervousness of how people will react when they see her here, she is afraid of what issue will come up next about her.

Maybe it is rumored that she is now try to seduce or attract the CEO of this company to save her name, but if that happens, it is not a complete lie because she tried to offer it as he sponsor.

She just came back in a senses when she heard the sound of the elevator as a sign that she was on the first floor of the building, the slow opening of its door seemed to be so fast to Danica that she could do nothing but bend over while walking.

"Be careful!" A familiar voice stopped Danica from walking, even though she was nervous she couldn't help but look where it was coming from.

He saw a tall, white skin, and very gentle man in the distance. Not so obvious but the women keeps take his picture in the side.

It was one of the actors involved in the movie that Danica was supposed to be the lead star, but the issue suddenly came up because of the video that spread. The man's face can be seen in the video but the man's entertainment company quickly issued a statement.

Maybe it's because it wasn't seen much in the video and only the face was blurred so it's not that big of an issue, she was the only one who became the focus in the eyes of the media because she was the lead lady and front of the camera that night.

“Excuse me, Daniel can you tell us what really happened that night, we see your face on the video. Did Danica really have a relationship with that director or did she really bring some drugs to the party?” One of them suddenly asked about the video make Danica nervous more.

“Danica” The man said

But she could no longer hear the man's answer as a hand pulled at her and put on a hoodie jacket to hidden her face. The familiar smell of its perfume wafted through her nose.

“Why do you want to hear his answer? You know all of them will point their fingers at you now even though they don't really know the truth and who is carried those drugs.” Disgusted he said and opened the car door. "Go inside, I will drive you home."

"Why me? Why am I the one of the many artists who can be involved in this issue? Why are they so quick to judge me just because of a video that I myself don’t know what’s going on?”

The tears she had been hold back kept pouring out of her eyes, she really had no hope to save her name.

“Danica, let’s go. We can talk about it inside, right now this is not the right place.” He said and looked around.

Although her knees were shaken because of the nervousness she felt, tiredness and weakness due to what was happened, Danica slowly walked into the car. She quickly followed the young man who start to drive.

"How did you know I was here?" Danica asked the man sniffle.

“As your manager, it's normal for me to follow where you go and which person you who talk to for the sponsor that Shun says? Now that you are facing him, you probably know why I don't want you to come here.”

"Yes, I already know what the sponsor means and why you react like that." The woman's replied was weak, but that was not the reason why she was so disappointed.

If she only knew that Jiro was the man Shun was refer to as her sponsor and would help to save the career that was slowly been ruined due to the issue she wouldn’t have gone on, even if the man changed or didn’t change in deal with her, it shouldn’t have seen what she is in now and what her situation right now. Shame only prevails when she remembers what happened.

“So, did you meet him and talk to him about sponsorship?” Isaac asked her a question.

"No, we did talk but I think the sponsorship between me and him will not continue."

"What?" It was obvious to Isaac that he was relieved by what had happened, even though Danica didn't know why she just smiled. Maybe her manager just really didn’t want her to do such a thing. "You mean, you're not looking for a sponsor anymore, right?"

Does she really have the right to refuse a sponsor?

“I still don’t know, Isaac. You know my situation now and I can't do anything if in the end sponsorship is really the only answer to my problem but if I can find another way that's what I will do.” That was her answer but if she can't really be saved, maybe it would be better if she left the dream and just apply another work for her family.

But she can't tell it to her manager right away. But if that is the only way to stop all the issues, she will just leave the entertainment industry.

“Just take me to the hospital, Isaac. I will keep an eye on my mother until the issue is resolved.” She said this and the young man next to her just nodded.

She quickly put on the new mask from her manager and the hoodie to hide her face, even though she is famous, no one knows about her mother who is now in the hospital. Her brother who is study in college is the one take care of it for her peace of mind.

Fortunately, she has a screen name as an artist so it became easier for her to hide everything from people, if they would find out about her brother and Mother, his haters might touch them too.

As soon as she entered the room, her brother greeted her with red fluffy eyes, "Sister, it's good that you came here today!" This is a man but they are close to each other.

"Why are you crying? What happened?" She asked quickly and comforted the brother.

“Earlier, our mother was arrest. The doctor said that if she did not have surgery now, she would have no hope of surviving. Sister, what are we going to do?” Her brother's whole body was shaken. “But I looked at the balance of your bank account and it was still lacking for her operation; how else do we pay for the ICU every day? Fifty thousand every day seems to be impossible for us to provide.”

Yeah, right now, it’s really impossible for her to provide it yet she hugs her brother tightly. “Don't worry, I'll make a way. Maybe they will agree if we pay only half to start the operation.”

She reassures his brother but even though she, herself did not know what to do, she could only think of one way to make it easier for her to get money.
