“Why did you hurt Edward!” Bianca cried out bitterly.

“Why would you accuse me of such?” the older man responded nettled.

He dropped his wine glass on the table and glared at her.

Bianca shed uncontrollable tears and sat down on the sofa dejected.

“I am carrying your child”, she said in between tears.

The older man scoffed loudly “Pregnant! Because of a one-time banging, how could you be so careless?”.

He shouted at her, clearly irritated by her sight.

“Is your husband aware?” He questioned her suspiciously.

“He is”, she responded instantly.

“Pretend it was his”, the older man shouted at the top of his voice.

All light drained out of Bianca's eyes, she paled instantly.

“I have an heir, I do not need an illegitimate child”.

Bianca smacked him across the face, taking him by surprise.

“You wench!” He shouted at her.

“You are despicable, I am having this child!”

“May I come in?” Rissa's eyes stayed glued to Liam's; he didn't look like he was there to fight. Rather, he looked disturbed.Mandy and Camela contemplated retiring to the bedroom but stood their firm ground, who knows what Liam Hickson came there for.“How did you know where I live?”Rissa's question made him smile softly. This is Los Angeles, and he is the CEO of a big company in it; tracking anyone down is easy peasy.“Nobody is difficult to locate in Los Angeles”.“Oh!” Rissa knew instantly she had asked a silly question, the wealthy and powerful always get whatever they need except true love.“Can I have a minute of your time….alone?” Liam said, emphasizing on the last word.Rissa turned and almost laughed despite herself; Mandy and Camela were throwing daggers at Liam, which definitely made him uncomfortable.“Let's talk outside”, Rissa said. She turned to her friends and gave them a reassuring nod. She knew Liam didn't dare try anything stupid with her in her home. He had inte

He rubbed his eyes and picked up his phone.“Not in the mood to give God his dues”, he muttered to himself skipping his morning devotion. He rolled his eyes inwardly as the three chimes were dropped courtesy of Bianca's messages.“I am throwing your niece a birthday party at the mansion tonight, you better be present”“You dare not show up late”.“You can bring your girlfriend along and my Cute Caleb”.Adrian scoffed loudly “My cute Caleb! But how many people know Bianca enough to consider her as the perpetrator?“I don't have it”. Adrian lied.He felt less of himself for doing that, but was he obligated in the first place to hand it over to his aunt or her friend?Curiosity engulfed him; who was this stern-looking woman whose simple smile changed her whole face in a glimpse and made her appear friendly?“I wasn't asking you to hand it over or agree that you have it”, Tracy said smiling pleasantly at him. “I need you to do something for me, Rissa”Adrian's words sent chills down her spine, what could he possibly want? Does it have something to do with Liam's visit?“Please, Rissa, move back into my apartment; I do not mind staying in the mansion”.Adrian's countenance made her sad; all she could read was desperation; it must definitely have something to do with Liam's visit.“Was he here to threaten you? He knew they had to face their challenge head-on at that crucial point.“Congratulations on your…. engagement”.Liam smiled sheepishly at Adrian's words. He didn't know if it was the best moment, but he was glad to have his competitor say such.“Thank you”.They both try to pretend not to be shaken by the precarious situation they are in. Obviously, they aren't at a tea party trying to gain ground. This mastermind is unknown, they shouldn't match up to him yet.“Oh, Miss Wilson, I heard your parents passed away last year; my condolences.”Amber swallowed hard; who the hell was this man? He seemed to be conversant with them so well that he acted so familiar, yet they had never met him before.
