My mouth became a thin line as that complete silence filled his space, and I drank the tea he had offered.

I noticed as I looked around that these shadows are illuminated by the warm flickers of lights. I continued to stare at it until I was forced to stop breathing and open my eyes in response to the strange warmth that was descending beside my cheek.

Our eyes locked as he said, "The wind had already swept your hair, Sol, and you're busy to be conscious, I guess." I can see a reflection of myself in his eyes.

I can compare Xander's eyes to those because they don't have that same spark.

I don't remember ever being this close to Xander. Perhaps it was when we had sex? Yet I can't think of any with this kind of event taking place in a garden.

Before I knew it, he was leaning against my ears, creating the impassive warmth I had been feeling earlier. A warm, minty forest aroma cascaded down my neck.

When I look at my hands, they are not tremblin
