"Well, now that you've seen it, can you believe it now?" If Xander wasn't talking next to me, I would have been about to sigh and shake my head. We had entered the temple already.
We were always within the hiding place where Xander originally brought me—never from the outside.
It is indeed dark when I turn around, and the only lights in there were mounted on the walls. The area resembled a cave, and Xander would use his magic to make sure we were not heard with each step we took.
Because of this, it appears to be both spectacular and disheartening that the temple conducted these kinds of operations covertly.
