Everything changed dramatically after that day. He kept his words and also his distance. I would meet him at meals and he would calmly inquire how I was doing, nothing more nothing less.

The mask of indifference was back on his face but he didn't berate me anymore, mostly he would just stay quiet in my presence.

Tacy brought me normal clothes and took away the maid's uniform. I was no longer required to wear it or do any of the chores he had previously assigned me.

I still helped with the cooking and observed that Nashia had begun to involve me in affairs of Luna. She would take me along when visiting pack members, hospital, school and other important places during her inspections, introducing me as her secretary.

Seriously I was more than content to not be degraded by him and to have something at hand to keep myself engaged.
