She was in heat, which explained her odd behaviour earlier. One second she was driving pleasure and next she ran, afraid that we wouldn't be able to resist each other.

When she called me from the bathroom, her voice was hoarse and dripping with the need for her mate, I knew she was barely holding on. That intoxicating scent of hers was seeping from under the door and had begun to envelop me, her painful mewl was gut-wrenching, to say the least. A few more seconds and I would break down her door to possess her. I had to fetch Mom Nashia.

I shifted and mind-linked her while standing outside her bedroom door, putting a safe distance between us but not too far away. Mom and Tacy were quick to arrive with some kind of vial.
