Chapter 15 (A friend Indeed)

Ralph's POV

I tossed and turned in bed, wrestling with elusive sleep. Seeking solace, I reached for a chilled drink from the mini-fridge in my room. 

Swallowing the liquid in a futile attempt to drown my restlessness. As I pondered, a perplexing emotion lingered. 

"What is this feeling?" I questioned myself, but no answer. Reluctantly, I admitted an unexpected worry for Athena, an opinion I was hesitant to embrace.

My wolf remained indifferent, allowing me to pace the confines of my room. The looming possibility of Athena terminating our contract weighed heavily on my mind. 

Despite my warnings, Baldulf persisted in his visits, although it was less frequent. 

Had my leniency led him to disregard my caution? Because he remained my friend, I didn't want to take drastic measures, but I know if he should continue I'll lose my cool sooner than expected.
