2021-12-11 18:13:1110:00 AM ako nagsimulang mag ayos ng sarili ko. I wore a blue long sleeve polo and a red pencil cut skirt saka ko tinali into ponytail ang buhok ko. Mainit din kase at isa pa, para kaaya ayang tingnan.
Nagpaalam ako kay Mommy at Daddy at sinabi ko na sa labas nalang uli ako kakain for lunch dahil sure ako na aabutin ng lunch time yan. Ewan ko ha.
Kinuha ko na ang bag at folder ko saka h*****k kay Mommy at Daddy. Pagkalabas ng bahay, muli akong huminga ng malalim.

"Salamat" nasabi ko nalang ng biglang may lalaking lumapit samin.
"Tanya, what are you doing here?" Salubong nya saka bumaling sakin. "Hello there, Venice" tanging ngiti nalang ang naisagot ko dahil nahagip ng mata ko ang paglabas ng isang babaeng aplikante and she's crying! I guess, she didn't make it.
"Oh, may ia-abot lang sana ako kay Jerwin but, look, busy pala sya. Muntik ko nang malimutan na may job hiring nga pala as a secretary nya" sambit ni Tanya.
"Wala kang flight?"
Ayoko sanang makinig sa usapan ng may usapan pero, nakatayo kasi sila sa harap ko so, I can't help but to hear what they're talking about.
"Until next week, wala. Jerwin suggested na magpahinga daw muna ako so, I could gain my energy. Medyo malayong bansa din kase ang schedules flight ko next week" sagot ni Tanya.
"Ms. Venice Ocampo?" Halos mahulog ako sa kinauupuan ko.
Hala, ako na pala!
Dahan dahan akong tumayo habang yakap ang folder ko na naglalaman ng resume.
"Hey, Venice, Goodluck!" napalingon ako Kay Tanya na nakangiti sakin kaya nginitian ko din sya.
"Maraming salamat" sabi ko at napalingon kay Yohan na nakangiti din sakin.
"Goodluck, Venice. Kaya mo yan" sabi nya.
Ngumiti ako at tumango bago tumalikod at huminga ng malalim.

Kumatok muna ako bago sumilip sa medyo nakaawang na pintuan.
"Come in" dinig kong boses kaya napalunok ako.

Pumasok na ko ng tuluyan at naglakad papunta sa tapat ng mesa ng CEO.
"Good morning Sir" bati ko nang di sya tinitingnan.
"Good morning. Take a seat" nakayuko akong naupo sa upuan sa tapat nya.
Ilang sandaling katahimikan ang bumalot samin. Napakunot naman ang noo ko.
Di ba nya ako i-interview hin?
"Venice Lauren Ocampo" napalingon ako sa kanya habang binabasa nya ang folder ko pero napatigil ako.
He looks familiar.
"Venice.." Bulong pa nya saka pumikit at huminga ng malalim bago ibaling ang mata sakin na ikinagulat ko kaya nag iwas ako ng tingin.

Napamaang ako saka bumaling sa kanya pero tumayo na sya at kinuha ang coat nya bago umikot sa table nya at naglakad papunta sa may pintuan.

Nakatulala lang ako habang naglalakad palabas ng building. What the heck did just happened? Ilang beses akong huminga ng malalim habang nakaharap sa salamin. Kaya mo yan, Venice. Don't be nervous. Nakaharap mo naman na ang boss mo, so, kaya nayan. Pinasadahan ko muli ng tingin ang itsura ko at nang masigurong ayos na, kinuha ko na ang bag ko saka lumabas ng kwarto. "Anak, papasok kana?" Salubong ni Mommy saken habang naghahain ng makakain at si Daddy ay di ko alam kung nasaan. "Yes po, Mommy. Wish me luck" sabi ko saka h*****k sa kanyang pisngi. "Where's Daddy?" Tanong ko saka naupo sa may upuan. "Maagang umalis. May imi-meet daw na dating business partner" nagkibit balikat lang si Mommy habang patuloy sa ginagawa. After contemplating whether I'll knock on his door or not, nagdecide akong manatili nalang sa kinauupuan ko at balikan ang mga papeles na nasa mesa ko. As lunch came, hindi ko alam kung bababa ba ko o magsi stay since wala naman akong ganun kakilala dito na co- employee ko. Kinuha ko nalang ang cellphone ko but natigil ako when I remember what Mr. Rivera said this morning. "Tell me if it's your lunch time" So, should I knock now and tell him na lunch time ko na? Pero naputol ang pag iisip ko when the door of his office opens then he came out. Our gazes immediately locks. "It's lunch" he simply said making me nod in approval. Hindi na ko nag abalang mag almusal dahil wala narin akong oras. Dumiretso na agad ako sa opisina. My mom insisted na magbaon ako kaso sabi ko, sa opisina nalang ako bibili. It's currently 6:05 AM. Late ako ng 5 minutes kaya naman nagmadali akong umakyat sa top floor where Mr. Rivera's office is. Nadaanan ko din ang ibang employee na kakadating lang at nagse-set up palang ng computer nila. Warning: Violence Nakakunot ang noo ko nang makaharap ko si Aling Tere. Yung kapitbahay naming napakiusapan ko na bantayan si Nanay. Walang kabuhay buhay ang mukha nya ngayon na syang pinagaalala ko. He seems uncomfortable talking about that. Did he change his face so that my Dad wouldn't continue his plan on killing him?
