"A little." Meredith smiled, embarrassed.

"Hold on a little longer. We'll come again tomorrow."

"Okay."

Just when they were about to leave, Meredith realized a little boy squatting down by the corner of the field. The boy was in an extremely white set of clothes. He looked a little thin.

He stared at the children playing in the field with two big eyes. They could see that he wanted to play with the other children, but due to some reason, he did not join them.

Meredith got herself free from Josiah's grasp and walked over to the little boy. She bent down and asked him gently, "Hey, kid, why are you here alone? Don't you want to play with the other children?"

The little boy shook his head and said nothing.

"What do you mean by shaking your head?" Meredith thought seriously. "Hmm. Let me guess. You shook your head, meaning you don't want to play with the other children?"

The little boy nodded a little.

"Then, why don't you like playing with them?" Meredith asked once again.
