Taking a glance at his wristwatch, Josiah realized that it was already eight at night but Meredith had still yet to return.

Josiah wondered if Meredith needed the whole day just to shop for new outfits.

Noticing Josiah's expression for getting darker, Miss Lily quickly said, "Sir, I've called Miss Meredith earlier and she said that the traffic is rather heavy because of the heavy rain."

Shortly after, they heard a car pulling over.

Josiah subconsciously adjusted his sitting position and started flipping through the TV channels with the remote.

As the sounds of footsteps entered the house, Josiah said without even turning his head, "I thought you're not coming back anymore?"

He suddenly felt someone slapping his back.

"You rude bastard! How dare you talk to me with that attitude?"

Josiah was taken aback. At the sight of his grandmother, he sprung up onto his feet. "Grandma? What are you doing here?"
