3 " Hot Scene"

Anastasia's face turned pale. The colour drained from her eyes as her stare turned cold.

" Shit!" Chase cursed internally.

It was a thing of shame for one to not have harnessed his/her wolf. The age limit to this was ten. When once a person was above ten and still without a wolf, he/she would be disregarded and treated unfairly. If the pack's leader was ruthless, the person could be ousted from the pack. So usually, one kept things like that to themselves.

It wasn't exactly something to be blurted out like that.

Chase was just about to speak when she cut him off.

" So you just gawk at me and don't say anything for over an hour now, walked out on me while trying to make an introduction and I still came to you and the first thing you say is… that "

" I…"

" It's actually my fault for walking up to you when you made it clear that you don't give a fuck about me"

Chase frowned. He never said that.

How could he not give a fuck about her? She was his mate.

" I…"

Again, the words were stopped before they could even find a way out.

" Thank you for reminding me how unwanted I am" her tone was hard and the glare in her eyes was totally different from the glow that had been there.

" Shit!" Chase cursed again as he watched her walk away from him.

" Way to go Chase" Tyga echoed in his head.

Chase heaved. As much as he wanted to put the blame on Tyga, he knew this was hundred percent his fault. He should have thought twice before speaking. Who blurted things out like that?

He was such an asshole.

The rest of the night went on uneventfully. At some point, Chase excused himself back to his wing.

He settled into the couch at the living room, unbuttoning his shirt down to the last. The place was empty, luckily for him. Everyone was at the party.

All he needed now was some peace and quiet and maybe a little sleep to calm the heat that was soaring through him. He hadn't slept in days, that was probably why this got to him so much. Added to the alcohol, Chase didn't feel one bit like himself.

He didn't realize when he dozed off on the cushion. His long legs were stretched, and his hand lay on the headrest. His sleep was peaceful.

But it barely lasted an hour.

The party finally came to an end and everyone retired. Sylvia was expectedly supposed to stay with Ron at the Alpha's wing. The guesthouse was occupied with guests, there was not any room left. And Ana wasn't a guest. She was family now.

All the options fell short, except Chase's wing. Anastasia didn't protest. She couldn't. Having being reminded that she was nobody but a wolf less, fatherless stepsister who was beautiful for nothing, all her courage from earlier had dissipated. She had prepared since forever for this event, making sure her self-esteem was high and she wouldn't falter and give away her "situation" but all of it fell flat in front of the Alpha's son.

Ana had never been aligned with her mother's decision of marrying an Alpha. She had grown up with the mentality that Alphas were jerks who only cared about themselves.

And their sons were even bigger jerks.

So far, Alpha Ron had proven her wrong but Chase had definitely lived up to every of her expectations. From walking out on her to intentionally making her uncomfortable with the way he stared at her to saying "you don't have your wolf" as his first words to her.

She really wanted to punch him in the face but that would be a very stupid thing to do so she didn't.

What did it matter if she was going to have to stay in his wing? She would simply avoid him. He obviously didn't like her. Not that she liked him either.

Alpha Ron took her personally to the wing. It was located at the east of huge residence. There was a lot of field space in between the Alpha's wing and Chase's so they had to walk a little. They were accompanied by a five men which made them a group of seven. This, Ana couldn't help but roll her eyes at.

All these people were really unnecessary but what could she say?

They finally arrived. Ana couldn't be more grateful. It was freezing out there. She badly needed to fall into a comfortable bed.

The scene that met them at the living room was… hot?

As upset as she was with her new stepbrother, Ana still lost her breath as her eyes fell on his figure sitting or lying, whichever it was on the cushion.

His buttons were undone revealing his chest. His chest was a sculpted masterpiece. It appeared firm and very enticing to crash into. His stomach was chiseled and laced with visible abs that was obviously gotten from years of repeated work-out.

Ana swallowed as she felt heat rise in her chest.

" He came home to sleep. Unbelievable!" Alpha Ron said.

" Chase Greene!" He called out loudly.

Chase's eyes shot open. It was normal for him to always be on his guard, even when asleep. He scanned the room, heaving relieved as he realized who it was.

He jerked to his feet, ruffling his hair. An action that made Ana's heart thump.

What was that?

" Father!"

His voice, it sounded better when he was just woken from a slumber. The deep husky baritone couldn't sound any less than a seduction to Ana.

Wait! WHAT was that?

" You left my party to come sleep?" Alpha Ron said disapprovingly.

" I'm sorry Father. I had too much to drink and I needed some rest"

Alpha Ron nodded lightly.

" You can rest all you want after your stepsister is settled and resting too"

It was then that Chase noticed Ana standing beside his father.

The heat he thought he had calmed rose to its peak all of a sudden.

" What? Why?" He blurted out, yet again.

All of Ana's admiration thoughts flew away as her anger returned to take its rightful position.

Now she really wanted to punch him. Did he have to rub all of this on her face like this?

" Don't ask me why. Follow the orders" Alpha Ron said curtly.

" But…"

Chase was ignored. Alpha Ron turned to Ana, placing his hand on her shoulder.

" You'll be staying here from now on. So make yourself comfortable and pay no heed to Chase. If he causes you trouble then I'll handle him myself "

He gave Chase a warning glare.

" And I'm very serious about that"

Ana managed a small smile as she nodded. Alpha Ron exited the wing then along with his so many guards.

Chase sighed.

" Great!" He mumbled.

" Why are you so upset that she's staying here? Isn't it supposed to be a good thing, she's our mate" Tyga awoke in his mind.

" Not when I get so hard anytime I see her and nothing can be done about it" he said back.

He looked at Ana to see her glaring at him.

" I know you hate me but you don't have to rub it in my face like this, don't you think?"

Hate her? How could he hate her?

" What do I say now?" Chase thought.

" You're my fucking mate!"
